I've often thought that exercising outdoors is probably much better for us than indoors. Bit obvious I suppose, but I also think we can potentially perform better too. For one thing, psychologically the fresh air (assuming fhe air around you IS fresh...) should play a part, as would sun, but also temperature could help.
Take Whiffet and his surfing, wetsuif or not, that Atlantic Ocean around Cornwall is cold! I know, I was in it last week. Anyway, we know cold therapy is good for you, but without wanting to sond mystical, I think there may be a nagural energy at work too. Maybe it is just the body faking advantage of natural mechanisms we don't yet know of.
But I am sure all that paddling in the cold sea for houra on wnd plays a aubatantial padt in Whiffet's physique.
I remember fondly my days of chin ups outside, I keep looking for a good way to do them outdoors at home without having to build something that my wife will find ugly in the harden!

This time of year, I train 100 percent outdoors at local parks. I don’t have a history of training at home, indoors or outdoors. I’ve got to go somewhere, strange.
Interesting is that I’m the same with work. Would never have the same productivity if my office was in my home. Again, strange or maybe odd.

I’ve always preferred outdoor training. I’ll do my dips /pull-ups in the park, trap bar deadlifts in the backyard, hiking/ rock scrambling, walking with/ without vest outdoors, etc.
i do have a doorway pullup bar at home, and do a lot of random grip work/ hangs indoors, but the outdoors gives me the best bang for my time, at many levels.

At least for 5 months/year, the temperature and humidity in Texas do not encourage hard outdoor exercises and activity if you are >60 y.o.

Fortunately the Huntington Beach weather allows for comfortable outdoor training throughout the year. Moreover, my outdoor gym is within walking distance .

If you live near a park with swings, you have an outdoor gym.

pierini, thanks for posting this link. I’ve been wanting a home dip station, and never saw that quality at that price before. Got 10% off just for watching their promotional video ( directly from the link you posted, not Amazon). Shipped to to the house for $100.

Seeing Bud Jeffries training outdoors has made me pull some of my stuff out of the gym and back down to the barn. Been calling it grass work! Plus, its easy to take my strands and hooks down there too.
One that note, my strands and hooks are about to take a trip to Puerto Rico for a week! I'm going to try to get some training in while there.

I don't always have the option to exercise outside. But I work plenty outside. So I don't mind doing my training in my basement. Plus it's convenient and time saving.

At the moment almost all I'm doing is throwing and carrying, so it has to happen outside. The weather here can be a bit restrictive so I make the most of any dry days.

I like to exercise outdoors and used to do so behind my garage But my rings, heavy bag etc are in the garage so now I work out there I open all the doors, even in winter to get the maximum amount of sunlight

Training outside is fun as hell. If it's too hot or cold outside it's one thing but if the temperature is right, get going. I would swing the Mace out in the front lawn for several minutes. Hitting the tire with the sledgehammer or Thor hammer is fun to do to.
Every now and then going to a park to some animal movements is great as well.
