That custom 40 guy or whatever he was called did a lot of one arm hangs but with grip assistance, he like to sort of wiggle around I think?

Lesser beings like me can use grip assistance to prolong 1 and 2 arm hang times . Of course, it's also good to hang without assistance for grip strengthening .

MBS, We all definitely know the benefits of hanging. It's not the only thing I do but for grip, wrist, shoulders, and back it's a good practice. The guy in Billfish's video is on another level. But as Gruntbrain noted, grip assistant hangs are just as good for shoulders and the lower back. I like to do relaxed bar hangs and active bar hangs. I do them because they are fun, feel good and for the benefits, they provide the body.

His old youtube channel was "61 Custom Rebuild", but I think he may have taken it off of youtube? - I can't find it. His current youtube channel is Omega-Iota Fitness. HERE is a video from a year ago where he hangs at about half way mark. Here's what he says about himself on the youtube channel: He hung out here on Sierra when he was began promoting his first e-book ( in the Sierra archives), but seemed somewhat put off by the lack of awe that the members here expressed and left. I like Pete, maybe partly due to understanding where he's coming from, but he may be overvaluing the uniqueness of his gospel. I have definitely benefited from some of the info he presents and I like listening to him learn on the fly so I don't care about some of his oddities.

Here's one of Pete's videos. It's from April 1, 2019. He uses 45# plates to do similar stuff to what I do. No reps, just pick up weights, hold them and move them around until done, then put them down. TUT; constant tension from the time he picks them up until he's done. He also says some stuff that interests me.

Been playing around with timed one handed carries, pinching a 45 lb plate for time. One minute with the right hand, then one with the left, walking around in my back yard. Hanging on on the bar has a primal feel to it. Enjoyable, and productive.

I think so too. Hanging is one of the few exercises that I do every day, some days several times. Occasionally, I bring my feet up and past the bar on my head side of the bar. Then do an inverted row and back down. Kinda like a DL move, but with the bar behind my calves.
