Pierini, I have read your post. Not only is Kono the best american weightlifter but the best weightlifter ever. He got olympic medals in various weight classes, set record after record, got vast technical knowledge, mind concentration beyond belief, humility and good nature. Pyrros Dimas, Vasily Alexeyev, Suleymanoglu, John Davis, David Rigert, Galabin Boevski, Angel Guenchev, Yuri Vlasov, Ivanchenko, Bill Starr, Bill March and many more, the kings of olympic lifting.

Here’s what I have in my box of goodies, 1 50 lb V Max weight vest for my brisk walks,2 , 2 ab wheels,1 with 1 wheel and the other 2 wheels, 3, my Thera band rehab straps that I use daily for my shoulders after my shoulder surgeries, 3, Buddy Lee jump rope, which I’m not using now because last week found out I tore my adductor muscle on the inside of my right thigh and tore my ACL also, bummer, 4 my ab straps to do hanging leg raises and knee ups with, , 5 shark tooth push up stands, easy on the wrist and shoulders, got them about 10 yrs ago. You can get them on Amazon.

I've got a load of shit I hardly ever use or haven't used in a long time, but I tend to do things in phases so I might well come back to it at some stage. Last winter I spent time pushing up my barbell side press but this winter just passed I didn't bother and focussed a lot on carries, forearm stuff and some stone lifting, shifting my focus to steel bending towards the end. The winter before that I spent quite a bit of time on the weight suit thing I mentioned recently. So, I still have the stuff for that, a cheap barbell, grip stuff, steel bars, a sandbag, a couple of kegs.
In the summer I shift my focus to the highland games stuff and I have some homemade equipment for that, as well as a 28lb weight a retired competitor recently lent me.
I often think if I had the discipline and patience to set things out I could train in several ways at once on a 10-day routine or something and after nine months feel terrific like I could do anything. But it's much easier just to push one or two things at a time.

I have a complete arsenal of equipment, homemade and purchased, that I have collected throughout the years. I practically have to wade through my workout room.

I forgot to mention my keg and cooler water jugs, but there's a lot I didn't mention. When I find a really good deal on something cool, I have a tough time passing it by or if I'm inspired to make something, I do it just because I enjoy the process. I've bought used DBs from the used sports equipment recycler, cleaned them up and painted them. They are beautiful. Such a joy to use.
