Can't take anyone serious who calls certain muscle groups gay (rofl)

the imaginary lats dudes are gay, thats what I'm talking about. About anyone can fake lats, but its hard to fake the other stuff that I listed. I prefer muscle and body parts that make me strong and safe when doing BJJ and Judo. Neck, Traps, Forearms fit that bill. If I had my choice of look, I'd be Bruce Lee, but I'm not built that way. I'm a stump.

Personally I do not care if people think my lats are gay,
I cannot help being symmetrical, it is probably part of my genetic make up.

Jrmeatplow, you look powerful. What kind of training do you do?

Back then, 2 days per week. I'd sometimes do a split but most of time an upper/lower. On the upper/lower split I'd do Squats and Bench on week 1 and on week 2 it would be deadlift and military press. Usually just working up to one all out set and then a few pump sets to finish off.
Now, I do full body, with bands, bull workers, bodyweight, trap bar deadlifts and farmers walk. Still 2 days per week. The rest is BJJ and running.

Jrmp,
You're not doing KBs anymore? The Magican Guy(can' t remember his username) and Yourself mentioned stuff about squatting. You mentioned Your knees feeling better. Do You feel barbell squatting heavy bothered Your knees? Did You ever do front or Goblet squats with a kettlebell? If so how did they make Your knees feel?

Jrmp, You're not doing KBs anymore? The Magican Guy(can' t remember his username) and Yourself mentioned stuff about squatting. You mentioned Your knees feeling better. Do You feel barbell squatting heavy bothered Your knees? Did You ever do front or Goblet squats with a kettlebell? If so how did they make Your knees feel? Squatting never bothered my knees actually. It was after 3 knee injuries, 1 from BJJ and 2 from Judo that things changed. Where I was actually starting to notice squats affecting me is in my hips. There was a thread about this on DJ's forum awhile back. So famous doctor named McGill or something like that is seeing these issues. As for KB Goblets and Front Squats, great exercises in my opinion as they are more about mobility and form rather than monster loads. I think it may have been Arthur Jones that said no man needed more than 300lbs on his back squatting. As time rolls on, I have to say I agree.

I don't know what it is but the better you look, the better people treat you. It's not "right" but it's true. You get easier through life as a good looking person. Women even more so than men maybe. You look fit, strong, lean and dress sharp, put on some sunglasses, style your hair.. people treat you life a different person. I went shopping, it's very sunny and whenever it's hot outside, I have a constant pump, venes popping out everywhere especially my biceps and forearms. You can see the silhouettes of my lats and traps on my back through the shirt. What can I say, the ladies like fit guys, it's just true. I remember a report on TV where they asked random women on the streets if they like fit men or men with a dadbod and most of them chose the latter. Yeah that's BS and an outright lie. They only say that because their men are not fit and prolly have a dadbod. Just like men prefer women with big boobs and nice booties, women like lean guys with some muscle. So I walked past an ice caffee and there were a bunch of girls sitting outside eating icecream and they asked me to come over. I didn't stay long, I did some smalltalk and exchanged numbers with one of them. Afterwads I went shopping and this sexy salesgirl couldn't let go off me. I'm not exaggerating guys she was nonstop on me constantly asking me if she can help me and smiling to me and in my head I was like "sure you can help me babe" and engaged a little. I'll go there again soon, maybe I'll ask her for her number. If I was wrong and she brings the "sorryyyyy I actually have a boyfriend" excuse I can take it. I'm young, I'm fit, I'm handsome. There's a million girls out there, I have nothing to lose. Anyways, the point of this post is that nothing boosts your confidence more than working out and being happy with yourself, easily the biggest confidence booster. Have you guys had similar experiences? I clearly see a contrast because not too long ago I was a nerd and it was the complete opposite really Yeah, the dadbod thing has been hugely misinterpreted. When many women say they like a dadbod they have a different thing in mind. They have a powerful, strong image in mind of what a good, protecting dad should be. Women generally dislike super-lean, vein-infested bodies with 2% body fat, they look gross and skin-less to most of them. So when they say they prefer a dadbod what they're actually saying is that they prefer a little more fat covering the muscles, something more like 12-15%. Not a chubby couch potato. They want athletic, muscular guys who look healthy, not dehydrated.
And yes, it's good to notice women's attention, but it can also put you in some uncomfortable situations. I work in the courts of justice and 85% of the personnel there are women. I'm usually fine with that, but a couple of times in our coffee break 6 or 7 of my closest colleagues started commenting on my physique without any shame or care about how that would feel for me. Call me a crybaby if you want, but it was not a pleasant experience and got me thinking about how uncomfortable many women must feel in male-dominated environments. I didn't feel harassed or anything, but the feeling of being a piece of meat was honestly not welcome. So guys, never treat women like that, I can assure you it's not funny at all.
Also, a colleague who I only considered a close friend of mine did something very close to harassing me for almost 2 years. She knew I was married with children but still she kept hitting on me. She then felt regret, apologized and behaved normally for some time, then went back to hitting on me. I even stopped talking to her for a few months, and it was painful because I considered this woman my best friend there. Now things are fine, we've worked it out and she finally accepts that she won't get what she wants. Still jokingly hits on me from time to time but nothing like it used to be. But I stay alert and try to just not talk to her much. I feel like I lost a friend. Or what I thought was a friend.

when i was a fireman in my 40s I went to a funeral for a captain from my firehouse along with the other guys from the firehouse......we later walked over to a bar a few doors down and there was about a dozen ladies in there drinking and talking. Some were very attractive and we were in uniform and you could have heard a pin drop as the ladies all stopped talking and started looking at us. It was pretty funny and I remember thinking, why didn't this happen when I was a young, single guy ?

Well I have had a dadbod ever since I had children, before that it was just a bod, but now it will be a dadbod forever.
