Did a 3km walk earlier, felt very good!
Certainly a better way to get a tan than just laying there sunbathing and basically doing nothing.

Yeah, the usual explanation for walks is that you can speed up recovery by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, and there seem to be specific benefits to being in forestry. As for muscle pain, I've found stretching afterwards can make a huge difference. Hold stretches for quite long, up to a minute, to really relax into them.

Seriously though what do you guys think of walks in nature. Do you see benefits? I imagine going for a long walk might increase the vascularity, maybe it helps the recovery process. What I do right now is training different body parts than the previous day, also when I'm sore, I don't train that same muscle. I also listen to my body and somewhat adjust the intensity volume and exercices I do. I don't think you can train everyday with a strict plan, gotta listen to your body and be flexible! I think it depends on the type of muscle too, I can beat up my abs every day and the next day I have at best some mild soreness. They recover super fast Walking is excellent exercise and while I can't speak for any vascularity benefits, fast paced walks will give you a good workout It's also a good way to relax and see the world around you I agree with walking, I can cover around 30 miles a week at work, it keeps me fit.

Thanks for re-posting that video. Although it's been posted before, this is the first I listened to it. Excellent stuff, IMO. I'm onboard with it. I'm going to find it and watch the whole thing. Interesting points about the Russians and why they crank out more champions than this country.

Ha! I must be doing something right. I'm rarely ever sore and when I am it's not too significant and fades away throughout the day. That's exactly how I'm training, high volume, low intensity, never kill myself, always have like 2 good reps in when I quit. Therefore I can train every day.

One can actually post useful info here and it is appreciated.

Foam rollers seem to work for a lot people, and physical therapists use them in professional practice. I have a couple, and use them when needed.

Get a juicer (I don't mean blender).
Hmm that's a good idea! Why not a blender?

Think I need to add this to my arsenal. I don't eat enough vegetables and this could be the solution

I gave my juicer away years ago and bought a blender which I still use for juicing/pulverizing. I became tired of cleaning it every time and throwing out all of that beneficial fiber.

That's what I thought too. That must be a pain in the ass. I think I'm just gonna buy blender, it's a more versatile kitchen tool imo.
