Geez why does everyone overcomplicate nutrition like it's rocket science? Vitamins, healthy fats/proteins/carbs, calorie surplus or deficit. That's all that matters. ALL you need are healthy fats, proteins and carbs from good sources like rice, potatoes, oat flakes, fish, eggs, beans, lean meat, whey, nuts, grains etc. Eat some fruits and vegetables and you're good to go. That is IT! All you need. Why are there a million diets when it all comes down to clean food and calorie intake? Just ask yourself, do I wanna build muscle = calorie surplus OR do I wanna lose weight = calorie deficit. Let's say you wanna lose weight and your daily calorie requirement are ~2500 calories Now you can either eat less than 2500 calories a day = weight loss OR you can workout so you simply burn more calories a day, 2500 - X = weight loss. You can also combine both. People need to forget these keto, paleo, high/low carb, vegan, carnivore BS diet systems. None of this shit is sustainable over long periods of time for 99% of people. Groceries = short-chained carbs = insuline spikes, refined sugar = bad for your health longterm Oat falkes, rice, potatoes = long-chained carbs = good, gives you energy over a long duration Fast food = bad Fatty food = bad Fruits and vegetables = good Too much meat = bad Processed food = bad Common sense really. Just eat healthy and workout and if you still cannot lose weight, start to actually count your calories so you can get a feel for how much of food X has how many calories and stay below your daily calorie requirement.
