Great Rogan podcast. The positive take on functional training may divide opinion. Entertaining guy.

Thanks for posting. I'm nowhere near done watching, but one thing that stuck out already.
I would agree on the transverse plane stuff for my back. Years ago I worked in a warehouse and had to restack product on a few pallets just about every day. The one in particular I remember was a company that shipped boxes of nuts and bolts. They were small cardboard boxes probably no more than 6 to 10 inches square. Sometimes these boxes would break a board on the pallet and need to be moved to a new one.
So here I was bent to my left pick up a box and swing to my right, put on other pallet, repeat until done. Bent over lifting and twisting, just like every authority tells you NOT to do. My back never felt better. Heavy enough to work the muscles, light enough to not cause injury.

Helps confirm my theory that for health, exercise is more a matter of doing just enough (consistently) to have an effect, rather than all you can.

I watched a video on Arnold lecturing and he said he worked out in a gym 4-5 hours a day.......... ! That's half a working day! Who has time for that?!

I finally watched the whole thing. Kudos to Pat for pushing forward with all the injuries and hard times he went through. I appreciate his service to Our Country. Very entertaining guy and he helps people.
When it comes to that transverse plane stuff I seemed to throw my back out when I try certain exercises. Work-wise doesn't seem to bother me, been doing it for years.

Thanks Whiffet. Really enjoyed. Had no idea he did physical training info. I had read and seen his tactical and gun training info. Top of the line there. He is former US Army Delta Force. Seems like he knows this world very well too.

I've become a believer over the years that to have a strong back you have to work it and not be afraid of movement
