Actually, the after shower warm up is one of the great benefits in the wintertime. If I just take a hot shower, when I step out I get chilled right away...whereas if I end with cold I don't get chilly. By the time the effect is wearing off I'm dressed.

I have been showering with cold water for 6-7 years and in all this time I have had no hot showers except with girlfriends (girls can't stand cold water). It is great for winter, you simply don't catch a cold and never feel cold. On the other hand, I love hot baths, which don't happen anymore since not I, not my girl and not my parents have a tub..

Only problem I have with all cold showers, which I do in the summer, is that soap doesn't lather up very well in cold water. Has something to do with surface tension, methinks.
