I'm sure if You don't have a pull-up bar You've found ways around it. Here is a little idea that You may or may not have thought of.

If you have a solid door, you can do pullups on it. Jam a book or something under the door to take some strain off the hinges, and you probably will need a pair of work gloves to cushion your fingers a little, and I find it best to have on sweatpants. Now simply grip the top of the door, when you take your feet off the floor you will find your knees and forearms pressed against the door. Now pull yourself up, allowing your knees to slide on the door...that's the reason for the sweatpants. You will find this quite a bit harder than regular pullups on a bar, first because the friction of your knees sliding on the door gives more resistance, and second because your forearms are braced against the door and can't move...this is a very strict pullup but very good. In fact even though I have a pullup bar, I like to include these on a regular basis, they're that good.

Good one, Fred! I would make sure that the door is solid and strong. This is not the kind of thing that doors are designed to do and, for example, a hollow core interior door might not stand for much of this activity.

Yeah, the door pull up really works the muscles directly. I wish I had a strong door to do them once in a while. I have a pull-up bar which I like. With tables and doors, You definitely have to be careful. I'd probably end up flipping the table over, .

I do not have a door strong enough myself, as for a dinning table mine is similar to this
only the top of the table is thicker and I have had no problems with it tipping over.

That's pretty cool stuff Bob44. Always wanted the pegboard thing. I don't have a tall enough overhead in my basement. I remember trying one of those when I went to school.
