That's a pretty cool way to do it Trog. I have been doing this 2 to 3 times a week. I took ideas from Fred, Bruce and Trog.
I took from Bruce the idea of doing each exercise separately. Trog's dilemma of his wrist bothering him, I just got off the dumbbells after each exercise. Also I agree with Fred about the rear delt row so I have a set of DBs which are heavier for those. I really like this and glad I posted it to work out the bugs for myself. Thanks.

When I did the DBs exercises I mentioned in my first post in this thread, I only owned one pair of DBs. They are they same two that I've posted pix of before showing the DIY PVC pipes fat-grips on the handles and were part of my Ted Williams Sears set from the late 60's. If I was working a position that was easier, I just held them there longer and moved them around in the area of tension. I had no option to use lighter or heavier DBs. Well, I suppose I could have loosened up the screws and changed them out, but I didn't want to bother and didn't have the time in the morning before work anyway.
Once I know how an exercise needs to feel to give me the effect I want and/or allow me to repeat it again in hours, next day or at whatever interval, I'm all set. The feeling is always the same, no matter how I increase the resistance or how much stronger I have become. So, I follow the feeling, not a schedule or program of resistance, sets or reps. As is usual with holds, doing these DB yielding holds saved morning time before leaving for work.

I tried it standing, but bending the knees and hinging at the hips so my body was nearly parallel to the floor. I moved both arms simultaneously and paused briefly at the top. That way, it was a good workout for the abs and the rest of the core. I found it to be important to make sure my lumbar region did not go beyond its normal curve to avoid a version of butt winking.

Yeah, I liked it to Bruce. I think it was Fred and Stormshadow who mentioned needing to work all three heads for shoulder health. I find the same. If I just press my right shoulder acts up a tiny bit. Hi Michael. Great video. I have always done the three and it is really beneficial for shoulder health.

I tried this today. It felt really good on my shoulders. I guess this concept of hands on the ground is the same reason some guys like crawling for exercise. Will try this with dumbells and the hook

Those exercises are very similar to what I've done to rehab my shoulder. Just tried this workout and instantly felt it in the lower traps and rhomboids. Good stuff! Most guys won't do it, though, because you cannot move a lot of weight in that position. Facepalm. I'm gonna be so sore tomorrow

JRG, my shoulders always feel better when doing stuff like this plus hanging. When I do front or side laterals I always go thumbs up, just feels better. I got that off of Jeff. Matter of fact if You watch the video closely he does it.
These guys have interesting videos on therapy stuff. Here's one where they talk about Dr. John Kirsh's Shoulder Solution exercises:

It feels sooo much better if the thumbs are pointing up like it creates more space for the shoulder to work properly. If I do regular laterals I get serious shoulder pain. If my thumbs point up it feels pretty good.
