........... Maybe I'm just sick and tired of hiding who IAM. ........ Dog food? OK, I'll give this one more shot ..... trying to be very plain instead of tossing out a joke opportunity ..... What the fuck does " IAM" mean? You've used it at least twice already, written the same way, "IAM", as if it is an actual thing or an acronym for a thing.

Billfish - I guess Benny doesn't like the fact we call out the BS from Ant Man and the Office Warrior. LOLOL!
Either way, we've all gone through our own personal trials, tribulations and challenges, but, we don't go on the internet constantly posting these tales for what...? Attention?
Benny - Get a copy of David Goggins' book. Read it. Read it again. After you're done, just try to think about what he went through and what he wrote long and hard before talking about your "history" yet again.

After you're done, just try to think about what he went through and what he wrote long and hard before talking about your "history" yet again. I was going to say the same. The book is "Can't Hurt Me" and it's a page-turner. He went through Navy Seal "Hell Week" with a broken knee cap, only to be disqualified near the end, but he got the option of doing it again. He chose to, only to find out during his second go-round he also had broken bones in his legs, and a lot of Hell Week was running and arduously insane physical challenges. He got through it, though. That was the tip of the iceberg, however...incredible disclosures about his childhood as well. I'm only half-way through...I am aware he's done the "Badwater" ultra-event several times, and I think he's set and re-set finishing times.

Although he's quite the outlier, the David Goggins life story can inspire us to get off of our "apathies" . Btw, many of his accomplishments were done with a defective heart; he's had 2 surgeries to correct the defect .

The "Here's what I had to overcome" stories usually fall flat with me, whether it be dubious "polio as a kid" claims or other similar. The extremes - as in Goggins' case - are so outlandish to be almost mythical, but he's quick to remind the reader everyone has it within them to overcome a lot of challenges if they want to bad enough.

Agreed. And I look at people who've gone through absolute hell and back, yet, they're some of the most positive get it done types I've met. I don't hear their "history" on a regular basis and I can't help but admire their fortitude and moving on. Goggins has so many quotes that would be applicable from the book, but, I remember one saying he brought up and I'd heard a similar version of while in the military (and I'm sure Bruce, Billyfish and others have been told the same): embrace the suck.

Do you mean to say that some people in the fitness industry lie.

Benny, when things get you down, think about the last guy. Sometimes when you're down, someone will say, "Well, look at that guy. He's got it worse off than you." And sometimes that can make you feel a bit better. Well, think of someone whose got it worse off than that guy. And then someone else is worse off than him. And so on down the line until you get to the last guy. No one's got it worse than the last guy. I mean, nothing is happening for this cat.
So, just think of the last guy.

Ben, you are a great guy. Do not pay attention to some toxic people. They shall destroy themselves. Hmmm. Are you referring to people who point out the inaccuracies in your posts as "toxic"? I'm glad engineers, scientists, doctors have standards.

Thank you Ben don't worry about anything the last time someone on here started making digs at me, they ended up disappearing for a while over to the Macho Man II site. They seemed to be alright giving it, but could handle receiving it. I still do not think that they have posted a picture of their physique to this day?
