Never posted on that forum, but used to read it way back when.
If I remember correctly, Mal offered matching Mister P dand for dand if the later would compete with him at what he called Stonelifter's puker special. I would not have put a Rupee on Peterson, both Mal and Callum were extremely strong and fit.
I also remember Peterson introducing a retired lifter to the forum, the gentleman in question quickly disappear from said forun after him and Callum had a few exchanges on weightlifting.
Mal's wife is French of Russian ancestry, Callum married an Indian lady rower he met in the UK. Mal first went to India help handle protection of Callum's father in law and his family after their lives had been threatened

Sounded like a fun forum. So weight stuff wasn't allowed on that forum? So Blue Speedos banned people for talking about weights? I actually find Bruce's site pretty informative with a wide range of training ideas which I find less restrictive. Seems like plenty of knowledgable guys here. We did talk about weights, but, not the big iron bro stuff. It was more along the lines of very common sense type stuff -- functional training, the use of light weights via Vince Gironda approach. KBs were a big topic as they had really taken off as well -- Tyler Hass was HUGE on KBs and DD to the chagrin of the "host". He'd PM'd a few of us, including me, to give Tyler a hard time but to the credit of the host he never banned, blocked or deleted the posts or links. So was Blue Speedos the host of that site? That really surprises me that he didn't ban when talking about weights. He banned me for talking about kettlebells but someone stuck up for me. Tyler Haas was the guy that had the website Garage Warriors right? That forum sounded interesting. I didn't mess with any forums until around 2008? I probably would have never been on a forum if it wasn't for all the injuries I had at the time. That forum sounded interesting.

I am big Rocky Marciano fan and that is where I learned he liked to use a 300 pound heavy bag. He had that bag made for him out of necessity. He was so powerful he could virtually knock a regular bag up to the ceiling. Rocky was quite a phenomena - small and clumsy. I heard Jose Torres once talking about the heavyweights. He said that Marciano had two left feet, but he had heart and amazing power. He was only 5'10", 185 lbs. <iframe width="34.180000000000064" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 34.180000000000064px; height: 5.159999999999997px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_96192514" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="34.180000000000064" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 34.18px; height: 5.16px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1638px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_465630" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="34.180000000000064" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 34.18px; height: 5.16px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 196px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_47689051" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="34.180000000000064" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 34.18px; height: 5.16px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1638px; top: 196px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_62357138" scrolling="no"></iframe> Rocky was a beast.

Again, it was a wild free-for-all of ideas, debates that went on for days and ended up providing a LOT of good information that I think we all learned from. But as you keep seeing, everyone who was on the first board -- Billfish, Bruv, me, Shadow, etc. -- have nothing but good things to say about the participants, information and even what JP encouraged those first 18 - 24 months. And seriously, we even overlooked the HALO claims, the trips to the questionable resorts that Dave W. uncovered, the high volume reps, etc.

That sounds more like Tyler Bramlett of Garage Warrior now Warrior Made.

Oh my bad, got the last name mixed up. It happens man, wouldn't worry too much. Tyler is a great trainer and a hell of a human being. I know him very well and I'd be happy to tell you more about him and his company.

Anyone else here had those conversations? (rofl) Never a good idea to compare boxers from different eras there's no way to prove who would be superior
I gotta say though prime Joe Louis would beat Marciano any day of the week and twice on sundays. Pound for pound however Sugar Ray Robinson is the G.O.A.T.

Neither could beat Sam Langford, and furthermore you are all casuals!!! I have Sam Langford in my top 3 P4P list of all time. #1 Sugar Ray Robinson #2 Harry Greb #3 Sam Langford Did you now that Jack Dempsey, Sam Langford and Harry Greb all fought Sept. 6, 1920 on the same card? I wish I could travel back in time and watch that. There is no tape of Harry Greb or Sam Langford.

I did not know that, what a show! There seem to be a few clips of Langford fighting but not so much footage of Greb
