Hello everyone!
I train with a chest expander. It is called this because "chest" measurements in the past were not about bloated pecs, but about torso measurements (ie, shirt size). The chest expander does not work the pectorals like a bench press, dip, or fly. However the chest expander trains the shoulders, lats, traps, rhomboids and rotators REALLY good. That being said there's not many actual chest exercises that I am aware of. I only know the "whippet" exercise demonstrated in the video below.
Are there any other chest expander exercises to train the pecs with? Or should I just get a longer expander cable, attach it somewhere and do cable chest flyes?

Have you used the hook yourself and can recommend it? Do the handles rotate and how is the quality of the tubes and the overall expander?

Just fix/put one handle under a door or through a vertical door slit. I use such fixation when I use a belt loop with handles for my pecs exercises.

Using The Hook and two anchor points, you can do a standing chest press. The Hook for shoulders and back, coupled with push ups and squats gets the job done also.

About 1:07 into the video on this page You'll see how You can do a chest press with the Sierra cables. You could also put the anchor around this height and do one arm chest flyes. www.sierraexercise.com/

The anchor equipment for the hook looks super useful. Simple piece of gear that adds tons exercises you can do with the bands. I imagine you could easily put it under the door and do some rowing exercises as well. That's awesome. Michael the chest press looks like a nice chest exercise especially for the upper chest. What are your thoughts on this exercise here

Any exercise You can do with a cable machine You can do with Bruce's cables. Honestly, if You think about it You could put the anchor high, in the middle as in the video or low to do chest presses. Jeff has some good ideas which I do use some of them. I would say give it a go and see how You like it. I always give something at least 4-6 weeks if it doesn't hurt to see if I like it.

Brilliant. I'm definitely gonna order the hook along with the tubes and the anchor. The list of exercises I could do with the hook is almost endless and I could take it with me when I travel. Super useful

The hook does look interesting indeed, but it is a bit on the expensive side and then with all the shipping costs to europe.

He's a guy who enjoys sharing his delusions and psycho-babble on physical culture forums. He's just entertainment. Always good for a laugh.
