Can you share what the difference in the two books is? I noted most reviews gave his publication a better rating than Convict Conditioning, etc.

Texas, his first book Fitness Independence covers not so much in routines, but having independence of being not so rigid in your exercise plan and diet, and other asspects in health and fitness,Matt's laid back attitude is terrific in his writings in both his books,Smart Bodyweight training, his 2nd book is absolutely great, I would have to say the best book written on bodyweight training I have read, and I have read a lot of them,he covers diet, routines, progressions and cardio, its the total package, its a little more expensive than the first book, but it is well worth it,believe me,I have both CC books, and I like them ,but Matt's 2 books I think are better,a more realistic approach to bodyweight training and progressions,I plan on getting his new book ,Bodyweight exercises for cycling, and from what I have read from the reviews,it's going to be another great book, I highly recommend buying his 1st two books.

Thanks for the recommendations on his books, etc. I know several people have posted his YouTube videos over the years and based on everyone's feedback and reviews on Amazon, the publications will be just as exceptional.
And I like the fact he's able to blend a great physique with his mountain biking -- and has no problem with weights, etc. Good stuff!
