Some good points like "Some people mistake being a badass with being rude, disrespectful, egocentric or arrogant. That is incorrect. The definition of a true badass is: One of respect, courage, humility, charisma, and a burning passion for their dreams and goals." and "There’s a difference between being a badass and being an asshole"
Not sure if this should be under the funny section....enjoy.....

There’s a difference between being a badass and being an asshole I never met a badass I didn’t respect, or an asshole I liked. Humble pie tastes better than ego cake.

Around up here my way area there are a lot of these wanna-be's who for whatever reason (mid-life crisis?) have changed into TRYING to be one. Seeing guys around their early 50's get tat's, piercings, start smoking cigars while drinking liquor, shave your head, wearing certain clothes, and walking around with the ILS (imaginary lat spread) just because they started going to the gym last few months is so ridiculous to me. Pierini, you have an ebook you said some years back about every guy looks in the mirror and see a 16 year old boy - or something to that, right? These guys around here want to go back to being about 24 and now that they have some money, want to get the big pickup and act and dress like I stated to relive that age the way they never did because they were never a bad ass then. I even heard one 54 yr old guy say to another 59 yr old "That's Badass" several times in a row and then it all clicked when I saw this article... ! I'm old enough to remember when guys who acted like this in the mid 70's grew out of this by 22 or so. I guess if a guy can be a girl then a regular guy can also try and be a bada$$. :0 IMO, a guy does not need to put on this fake crap image. EDIT: Oh yeah, and don't forget the big Harley's they can afford now too! Seeing 50 plus year old LEARN to ride all decked out in their biker gear for the first time is amusing as well.

Speaking of all those accoutrements listed above like smoking cigars as a phallic substitute, gay leatherwear reminiscent of Judas Priest, shaved like a gay skinhead. It appears to be a bad case of latent homosexuality?Pierini, you have an ebook you said some years back about every guy looks in the mirror and see a 16 year old boy - or something to that, right? So this reminds me of a conversation I had with an old buddy. In high school there was this kid, we'll call him Jerry. Jerry was a badass. He was big for his age, maybe because he was held back a grade or two. He had a full beard as a sophomore in high school. One of the guys I ran around with, his name was Gary. Throughout some experiences in our teens and 20's, Gary decided to become a badass after backing down or being beaten up a couple of time. He studied martial arts, became a prison guard, and eventually a cop, which he recently retired from. He has been in his share of scraps and I have seen him drunk and scare 3 guys out of fighting him by himself. Anyway, while having a few drinks, we were laughing about how scared we all were of Jerry in high school. Gary looked at the ground and then told us that just the previous week he had been standing behing a guy in a grocery line, and the guy was doing something and taking forever. Gary was taking deep breaths, becoming visibly frustrated, when the guy turns and looks at him, and says, "Do WE have a problem here?". Immediately, Gary recognizes it's Jerry, the badass from high school. In that moment, Gary said none of his years of working out and training seemed to matter, he just automatically uttered "no, no, no problem here". He said the guy immediately made him like the scared kid again. It made me think, some men can learn to act like badasses, some men are born badasses.

Being a badass is all down to personal perception.
My step father is a real cunt, spent most of his life in jail, drink, drugs, violence, extortion, bullying etc etc now if you ask a certain group of people if he was a badass they would say yes, if you were to ask the same group of people if my grandad is a badass they would say no.
However in my eyes my grandad is such a badass it's inspiring, all his children and grandchildren can rely on him, he has been a builder all of his life and picked up a lot of skills, anyone needs DIY etc he's there free of charge, he's stood up to my step father and my in-law uncles that have tried to bully his daughters, he rides a motorbike in his 80s!, he can hunt, fish, cultivate etc you name it. why most people wouldn't see him as a badass, he never swears, he never talks about women, he's gentle and caring towards everyone, he doesn't drink alcohol.
I think the way to determine who you think is a true badass would be to imagine the world went to shit the government collapsed and you had hoardes of black lives matter (just kidding, sort of) going town to town robbing everyone, you had to assemble a tribe to protect and provide for each other for the next 6 months and the names on the list would be badass people.
