Strongest, toughest, and meanest are 3 separate attributes. I believe my vote for aggregate score would go to Harley Race.

Yeah, I'm with you there. Race was legit. A natural big guy who was trained by the Zbyszko's. I always wondered if Race used isometrics. He had a 'dad bod' from an early age.

Some good characters on this list, as far as "toughest" goes I'd think more like Terry Funk or Necro Butcher or maybe some of the Japanese guys, guys who could take a lot of abuse and keep going.

Off topic slightly but the time Dan Spivey lost his temper and smashed up the Road Warriors was cool

I had a Deputy in my squad once who did a bit of low-level pro wrestling. He was also attempting to become a promoter and had visions of being the next Vince McMahon. We talked about executing the moves and a few of the tricks to make the moves sound or look more realistic. When I asked him about steel chair strikes his reply was "Oh you just have to take them".
BTW, he gave up on the promoter business and went on to being a preacher.

I frequently read of Haku being mentioned as one of the toughest wrestlers.

I frequently read of Haku being mentioned as one of the toughest wrestlers. oh yes, worth a Google, pretty much all wrestlers asked say Haku was the toughest. Many witnessed him in action, biting a guy's nose off, throwing a cop, destroying a few guys all at the same time, putting his finger behind a man's eyeball, pulling someones teeth out... But otherwise a really nice guy!
