Oh, and btw, direct biceps training is FUNCTIONAL TRAINING… 🥸 Of course. As is all muscle training apart from the non-functional muscle training featured in my upcoming book, m8s Yes, of course… ***Functional Training = Functional Strength

I have a small collection of heavy sand filled 'slam' balls from 10 pounds all the way up to a 90 pounder that I work out with on a regular basis. I also have a XXL sandbag 'shell' that can be loaded up with a few of my heavier slam balls for when I want to up the poundage. During tonights workout it occurred to me that anyone who thinks that bicep strength doesn't matter in 'real world' (functional?) lifting / carrying strength doesn't have the foggiest notion from the furthest clue when it comes to this particular subject... Alexander Zass recommended sandbag training after doing an iso' session. It was included in all his syllabus. I believe the sandbag training portion is only available in russian. Thanks for mentioning that Mox, I’m going to give the iso / sandbag mix a go next workout !

Ok, I gave the iso / sandbag combo a try, and it's a keeper !
*used my 'WorldFit Iso Trainer' first, and then instead of traditional sandbags I used 2 of my 'Bulgarian' bags. Afterwards I did a few sets of steel club Shield Casts to finish things off.
This video is a good example of the exercises that can be done with the Bulgarian Bag. I'm still learning so I stick with just a few of the basics...
