I did 1 minute negative chins for a while but I pretty quickly started to dread doing them and gave up with them.

I did 1 minute negative chins for a while but I pretty quickly started to dread doing them and gave up with them. There is a certain drudgery in doing hard stuff and a one minute pull-up negative falls in that classification. I spent some time in the past doing one push-up as slow as possible and got as long as about 2 minutes 30 seconds. I was chasing 3 minutes but abandoned my effort. The hardness of the challenge and accompanying drudgery was more than what I was willing to handle. Workouts done with Tabata time cadence fall in this same category.

An easier, less dreadful 1 minute workout is the Dr Crunch isometric pull using a chin up bar while feet remain grounded . Try not to cheat .

This begs the question of whether one can get a sufficient workout and fitness with one minute workouts with proper intensity.
