I just received this with a note "bet you can't do the third row of exercises first section". You know what? Bet they're right...but I can still lift some decent iron.

I turned 59 back in November and decided it was probably time I started focusing on other aspects of fitness. No more grinding out bench presses and deadlifts. Going to shed a few pounds and do more calisthenics (dips and chins). I’ve been doing about a dozen mobility movements every night after supper and my back and shoulders have really begun to loosen up. I’d like to add some rolling as summer approaches. My knees have really bothered me the last 10 years, so I recently started incorporating the Knees Over Toes guy’s stuff. So far so good, we’ll see what happens. Now I need to add some cardio, having a harder time with that. 😆

I like the smooth rhythm & shoulder relief I get from my reflex boxing ball. Need eye protection though. It WILL hit you in the face and the nuts, so wear protection.

The big reason is Attia's book really got me thinking about that facet of our fitness, but as mentioned earlier at least one of the VO2 max experts notes that metabolic health is a key factor in your best performance in addition to training. The GOATs -- Brady, Djokovic -- are huge on mobility, so I have admittedly slowly been working on that. I think someone saw me stretching my hamstrings (trying to), but at this point I'm slightly more flexible than a 2 x 4. If I do weights, it is usually SuperSlow and rarely try to run the racks at the gym.

Ichiro Suzuki credited his stretching routine for prolonging his career. So 1 day he’s in the locker room staring at his phone with the most puzzled look on his face. His coach asked him what’s up. Ichiro tells him he got a text from a guy who got Ichiro’s number from A-rod and he’s interested in his stretching routine. Coach asks him who the text is from. Ichiro says some guy named Tom Brady, Who the F**k is Tom Brady?! 😆
TR are you referring to Peter Attia? I recently heard him on an old Joe Rogan podcast, good stuff

I do about one 10 minute beginners yoga session a month because I get very tight round about the intercostals. Seems to be sufficient for now, I don't really enjoy it enough to do more.
