There is also quite a bit out there about working out with rocks. This is only one of them.

There is also quite a bit out there about working out with rocks. This is only one of them. Impressive. There's something primal working out with rocks and other found objects. Mind you, I notice on a few of his 'lift-and-drops' that the serious rock he was working with landed pretty close to his feet. Wouldn't want the spectacle of a conscientious trainer doing the Hop-Bobbing Dance of a Thousand Grimaces.........

There is also quite a bit out there about working out with rocks. This is only one of them. This would also make for a nice workout with a heavy medicine ball. For a while I was doing a lot of cardio by throwing a medicine ball as far as I could, running to it, and throwing it again out on the football field. Felt like a game and would leave me in the end laying in a pool of sweat from the intensity!

The first thing that went through my mind when I saw several of the rock workout videos was that many of the moves looked like medicine ball moves but I believe humans have had rocks longer.

This guy does OK, but he's just showing the tip of the fun that can be had with stones, like twisting & feint tossing, face pulls with squat, etc.
This guy uses two 7# stones. I have two of those and they are my lightest. The heaviest stones I'm currently using routinely for movement exercises is 25# or less, except for my lifting stone which weighs over 65#. The cinderblock exercise videos I've seen say that cinderblocks weigh 30# to 35#. I don't know about that? I weighed mine and it was right on 40#, using the same analog scale I use for stones and for myself. I've weighed a lot of stuff on that scale and, as best as I can determine, my scale registers slightly under actual weight at higher loads, when I make comparisons and zero the scale accurately at every wt check.
This guy is also seems to be trying to duplicate traditional strength exercise. I'm not, at all, trying to duplicate moves I'd do with barbell (which I never use as intended anyway), DBs or bands. I do all kinds of things, like wiggle/twist/sway/walk around while holding one overhead, for example.

Be careful with cinder blocks, m8s. As a brickie I have experienced many blocks falling apart as I've lifted them.

Murakami was pulling weights with his teeth on instagram the other day. The topless beardo is endlessly inventive, but sometimes he smacks of just seeing how much weird shut he can put out there. I like him though.

I had thought about using a garage door lifting spring to make one, but never did. I still think it would work.
