I’m glad I didn’t buy his book. Near the end of the video, they were talking about Hausa people and how honey was their favorite food. It was a primary source of carbohydrates for them and how the two guys had added honey to their own diets. Honey also has the benefits of being high in antioxidants, it can help lower triglycerides, it’s been used to help heal wounds, and it can lead to weight gain if consumed too much.

Thanks TR! What a contrast between Paul and the white pants minister from Minn. As JP's training and dietary practices changed, he never admitted he was wrong in the past, he'd just avoid the subject or talk around the issue. I believe the reason why people first experience such tremendous improvements to their health when they go on these radical diets is not so much what they are now eating, but it's what they have stopped eating.

There is an early version of "Paleo" out there called the "Meat, leaves, and berries" diet. I don't think you could go wrong with that, unless you have specific issues with things like oxylates. Spinach for example should NEVER be eaten by someone with sensitivity. Berries are pretty innocuous from any viewpoint I can think of. Even a keto diet can enjoy berries.

Indeed. Many diets involve eating more of something people are already eating and less or none of something else they would usually eat that may have been causing them to overeat or some other issue. There's lots of things you can do short term that appear to work but if you can't keep it up long term then it really doesn't work.
