I got this idea from my son and incorporated it into a Navy Seals burpee, one of the toughest burpee varieties out there. For lack of a better term, you might call it an isometric burpee.
For those of you who hate burpees, you might like this one because it's more super slow-like training. Doing 10 of these will take slightly over 15 minutes to complete and make for a different workout, challenging in its own way. I found the bottom hold in the push-up position to be the most challenging of the positions; they are three of them in this burpee.
