Using no routine as routine. Having no goal as goal. I just exercise because it feels good and I enjoy it. I reserve planned effort, scheduling, goal setting, etc, for shopping, cooking, chores and projects; things that need to be done so I have time for what I enjoy, like exercise.

Put some measurements to those goals so you can monitor in the new year. Otherwise, they’re chatter and white smoke. Wishing you the best.

The prior statements were deliberate inductive generalizations created by inductive reasoning. That is: a good plan begins within the framework of a starting general premise. This author didn't see the need to publicly flesh out further details. Others have done so more ably & admirably in this thread.

I've a good bit of weight on so my goal is to lose a lot of it by going to two meeting of 12 step program for people with food problems and keep in contact with people from the group during the week. Years before when I went to Food Addicts Anonymous. I roughly lost 8 stone in 8 months by giving up addictive foods. I also go to a personal trainer twice a week for two 45 minutes sessions of weights machines and bodyweight exercise and hit cardio. He's a good trainer and I've been training with him for around 3 years and he prevented me from getting injuries while increasing my strength and fitness. So far for 5 days, I've been off sugar flout and wheat, so hopefully I haven't put on any weight over Christmas. My Goals are to get weighed at the gym every month, build in little walks when I get the chance, go to two meetings a week and this year really try to nail down the diet like I did before. Hope everybody on this forum achieves their goals and that I lose the weight. Factory manufactured processed Frankenfood is intentionally made to be physically addictive. You may already be aware of this. Almost all restaurants and all fast foods are of this type. You're doing well to eliminate sugar and the toxic gluten grains. Here are a couple posts that may interest you: Post 1Post 2

Thanks for all your posts I totally agree with the last post that processed food is intentionally made to be physically addictive. This year I'm going to try my best to avoid processed food, that type of food is too addictive for me.
I'm 42 and have been lucky that except for being very overweight. I have no physical health problems such as heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, and have no joint pain now.
Now I really appreciate how lucky I've been with my health and this year I am really willing to lose the weight.

.............. processed food is intentionally made to be physically addictive. ........ avoid processed food, that type of food is too addictive for me. ........... That only proves that you're human. m8. It's not just you, it is a powerful physical addiction for all humans, designed by greedy parasites.

To give maxalding a good go. Tony Holland in an email told me it takes about 3 months to master all the controls. Before I discovered Maxalding in the late 90s, in the late 80s as a teenager I did a kind of muscle isolation for the biceps and triceps. I’d make it hurt a lot. My arms were as hard as tables. Maxalding I found had different ideas about muscle hardness.

Whilst it isn't maxalding, I have a habit of tensing my arms really hard to the point they "fail" and I lose the contraction,, I always have had comments on my arms being big and strong since I was about 15 years old, I started the habit when I was about 13 a long with other habits like pulling my fingers (which I've recently stopped), random but similar.
