When I trained in karate many moons ago, one of the standard warmup exercises were leg swings - front, side and back - and they were good to do. I believe Jim Forystek's PowerFlex workout (remember that one) included leg swings in the workout. I hadn't done them in a long time and knew my leg flexibility isn't what it was in my olden days. The other day I did a Navy Seals burpees workout for 100 burpees. Because my pushups endurance is not the best, I got the bright idea to incorporate alternating front leg swings after each burpee to "buy" me some quick pushup recovery time so I could complete the 100 burpees which includes 300 pushups. It worked. I was pleasantly surprised that as time went on, I was able to get decent flight and height. I was also surprised that I didn't experience any DOMS the next day which I attribute to doing KB swing work. I may do these leg swings more in the future.

If the armed services won't take advantage of your fitness and expertise, I'm sure the Can Can people will, going by your action photograph.

They are a very good exercise Pierini. Excellent for dynamic mobility. I think doing the same high amplitude arm rotations are good for the shoulder's mobility barring any rotator cuff/labrum problems. I do them as a warm up to pushups.
You are getting real close to final qualifications. Just practice that open water 6 mile swim and you are golden. Remember to work your neck muscles super hard so that you can run on the sand with the Zodiac on your head crushing down on the delicate neck vertebra:) And do not forget to run with a telephone pole, but even you will need some assistance.
Actually I think your challenges are an outstanding thing to do. You are making time almost stand still. Props to you

My shoulders safety is very important to me.
