I'm sure a number of you have previously downloaded or viewed online the "stone warrior" dynamic tension routine, portrayed as some kind of ancient Chinese secret but obviously John Allen's own design. Well, there are 21 moves in the routine, and some of those have a half-dozen steps each, they are demo'd typically four times and you are meant to do them at least 12 times, so any previous attempt to do this has been marred by constantly having to pause the video and replay bits, all the while the narrator keeps telling me I'm supposed to maintaining constant tension and any breaks are to be done in horse stance with tension still applied. So I editted together a video showing roughly 12 reps of every move. You can download it here, apparently after 10 days of inactivity it gets deleted: gofile.io/d/M4CddzThe video is a little over 40 minutes long. I think you are supposed to do it every day and gradually build up to doing triple the number of reps. There is no way in hell I would spend two hours every day doing this and I think the monotony of it and the emphasis on prolonged total tension were intended to make it easy to blame the student. But I hurt my ankle recently so some of my usual interests are out the window.
