What a day....after endless rain, fog and gloom the sun is shining and instead of going out with the rucksack, I decided to go for a run instead I haven't run in years and it was a jog/walk but the sun felt great and I really enjoyed that run. Came home, opened the garage door to let the sunshine in and did a nice workout Enjoyed that run so much that intend to do it more often.....when I lived in NYC I ran on a regular basis but got away from it here Even in fatigue pants and boots it was nice !

The coyotes might help the running levels....
Opening the garage door to let the sunshine in is a good idea. If you close it before the sun goes down, you won't have to use up electricity switching on lights.

I thought You still live in NYC. That's what it's all about, enjoying what You do. If You don't enjoy it it's not worth doing. Today was nice in NJ also even though we still have mounds of snow everywhere. I actually like this time of year on my weekday job. I fix mailboxes that the plow trucks blast with snow. I enjoy fixing them, I fixed a lot this year, .

Actually, I came upon a coyote last year while out rucking He /she was 1/8th ? of a mile away and stopped, looked for a moment at me and just continued on it's way After it was safely away I yelled "Yeah, you want your sternum busted, come on back, JP is a friend of mine !"

Been living in Virginia for years now Michael......I do miss my runs in NYC though Where I lived in Queens right down the next block was Cypress Hills Cemetery where I did a lot of my running, beautiful big old cemetery with lots of hills, a view of Manhattan and a history lesson as well Many famous people buried there including the actress Mae West and the old time boxer "Gentleman Jim Corbett".....just a really nice place to run and Forest Park was another favorite with all it's bridle paths, where i also cross country skied In Cypress Hills Cemetery there was also a giant manmade burial "mound" which must have been three stories high and had steep sides with boulders and weeds etc Around the top was a wooden rail fence and it also had a winding access road to the top....i used to run the sides to the top and hop the rail fence and run down the road....and over and over Miss that place

Trouble is, as a WEC, JP might have hit you instead. Your kneecap would have been sore for weeks. I suppose that if there's a group of coyotes looking at you from a near distance, could be a good idea to have something in your rucksack to warm thing up a bit if they come any closer. Apparently they are a nuisance in parts of the states.

That's pretty cool with that cemetery. I use to run in a cemetery in Trenton. , You had to be alert the the whole time because there might be a joker in there that wanted to try something.
