The only exercise I’ve been doing is KB swings, coupled with rock scrambling, hiking and good old fashion walking.
And I’m loving it. I’m sure in time I’ll re add more exercises back in, but for now, it’s golden.
At 62, I’m not interested in hypertrophy.
I just want to have good energy levels, retain/ improve my mobility, and be as pain free as possible.
Im doing 5-8 sets of 25 with a 24kg bell, randomly through the day.
For “ the game of life, if you want simplicity and keep your exercise to a minimum, for whatever the reason, KB swings seem to fit the bill.

Thanks for sharing. Good to know you’re getting your money’s worth on your KB investment.

I like your groove, MBS. Simple and everything a body needs. I know that feels good.

Good for you MBS, if you don’t mind me asking, how long have you been doing your new routine? I agree with you 100% about your mind set, I’m 62 also, and I’m not concerned about hypertrophy ,and I love my kb swings , goblet squats, push ups and neutral pull ups and my walking, I’m happy with my routine, I m working on my mobility and flexibility, which I am still pretty brutal with, it’s all about simplicity and what you like to do, nothing extravagant, how’s your weight since you have started your new routine? Keep us posted on how your doing on your routine, you have always had your exercise and diet routine dialed in good! Great job!

I wouldn’t call it a routine, because the swings are done randomly, at different times, throughout the day/ evening. Sort of drifted into this approach, and because I’m semi- retired and self employed, it works well for my lifestyle.
