I'm getting a "This site can’t be reached. Check if there is a typo in transformetrics.com."
Facebook still shows up, but nothing new since Sept. 2019.

Good, now he can't take advantage of people with his ego and magic pill stuff. I may not have any room to talk because I fell for it and wasted a lot of time. But I think it just means people are starting to see what everyone here knows. I don't wish anything bad on the Bag Lady. Just glad to see he can't bully the gullible if his website is not up.

Let’s be honest. JP fooled pretty much all of us, in the early days. When I discovered that board circa 2005-2007, ( can’t remember exact timeline), I was impressed by him. His board was excellent in its heyday, with Malcom, his late brother Stony, and many other knowledgeable people posting on a regular basis, and I looked forward to reading there daily. After a few years, with weird stuff like challenging Park and Walmsley to a fight, among other traits that I began to notice in JP, I drifted away, and only lurked for laughs after that.

Honest reflection, JP's forum got me doing pull-ups and other bodyweight stuff, stuff I still do to this day. For this, I'm grateful. I tried the DVR/DSR stuff but it didn't align with my fitness training personality. It was at his forum that I started posting and keeping training journals, something I still do to this day. I like the archival benefit of doing this. So, giving credit where credit is do, thank you JP wherever you are. I hope you are well and happy as an older man. If you ever want to be a guest blogger at Pierini Fitness and won't write some wacko stuff, I extend an invitation to you.

But he said some things to me behind the scenes that did play well with me. I have given him credit in the past mostly for helping me find my way to being pain free. But honestly, if I didn't decide to change my lifestyle and lose weight, there wasn't much he could have done for me. If I didn't use his ego driven style I would have had less injuries.

I talked to JP on the telephone a couple days, always had good conversations. He was a talker and never in a rush to end the conversation. He sent me a courtesy autographed copy of IPR when I revealed to him I hadn't purchased one. I actually enjoy my telephone conversations with Uncle Gruntbrain, speaking of which, where is he. I need to ring him for an update.

I spoke to JP a few times as well and enjoyed the conversation, but even then he was still spinning lies. The early years of his site were great, but he never offered any real information on how to put together a program or customizing it to your goals. His books are very very basic and aren't good for much more than a reference of different exercises you can do for various muscle groups.

There have been many 'characters' in the P.C. field since the beginning who combined story, brag, BS, and some useful knowledge in an effort to ultimately make a name and money. I saw JP as one of them. I saw his book while the wife and I were in a religious shop, of all places, while she was looking for an item for a family member around late 2003, I think. It was about 40% off so I bought it. To me, it was nothing new. Seemed like he stole/combined Atlas and (Harry) Wong, VRT and added some 'stories'. I was actually surprised he did not get sued by someone, especially since Hogue is a lawyer, but exercise/diet is tough to bring suit for. It was a good read. Discovered his website around 2008 or so and only read posts a few times through the years and saw how things got 'hot' between folks, which was entertaining as tuff talk on the inet is ridiculous to me.
Once he got to the Swoboda and Frank Rudolph Young stuff (except for Dynaflex) with Newton, which I didn't care for, I stopped entirely. I picked up on Newton's site just before he closed it.
Overall, I think he got too into his own BS and, for whatever reasons, could not get his product to market. I also hope he is well and can find happiness in his journey.

Pierini and Mr.Dave, I'm glad your conversation on the phone went good with him. When I was on the phone with him it felt weird. He tried to cover up the phone while he was getting nasty with someone. In a couple of pms he said some things that makes it hard for me to forgive him, even though I probably should. In physical culture or whatever you want to call your exercise, what's old is new and what's new is old. There is so many ways to exercise that are enjoyable. It's good to get ideas from different people but nothing or no one has the only magic pill.

I came in late to JP's site, through the AMM.
While I wrote a lot of fantasy stories at JP's expense, it was my concern that newbies calling into his site and reading some of the increasingly crackpot "advice" JP was dishing up by about 3-4 years ago, would act on JP's advice to their detriment, not knowing any better.
Given that some trainers/callers-in may have been in their early teens, JP's advice was quite dangerous to anyone following it. The over-training, exaggerating, outright BS, plus in one instance the promotion of a dangerous psych-drug as the means for greater "self-realization".
That post was rapidly deleted once (I suspect) JP's censor became alerted to it, but still, the damage overall that JP might have done (including the un-solicited posting of porn to at least one member) and his misrepresenting deceased trainers that JP "knew" could have given otherwise genuine readers quite a bit of injury.
Over the comparatively limited time I was in on it all, JP's posts became progressively worse, and it seemed to me that he was on meds, with some of the things he said.
It's a bit sad really, and I hope JP lives out his life in a happy state, but I can't help feeling that the world is better off for his site fading into obscurity. In fact, I think the AMM's did more for publicising Transformetrics than JP did in the last years of his forum.
It could be that the AMM's share the blame for TFM lasting as long as it did.

Totally true in that there is no one way for everyone.
Whatever anyone does exercise and nutrition-wise, that they can fit into a pretty regular routine as much as possible, that contributes to health and creating/maintaining fitness, is what I call physical culture (P.C.).
Whether it's cal's, weights, THE HOOK, strands, springs, bullworker, etc. I think is great. Combined with some mindful eating habits it is the lifestyle. JP promoted his versions, maybe too much and as the only solution.

It could be that the AMM's share the blame for TFM lasting as long as it did. Well if we were, kudos to us. We milked about 13-14 years of priceless entertainment out of that place. A lot of it is still probably accessible at Walmsley’s old forum.
