The last 6-7 weeks, I’ve been doing a 3 sec eccentric contraction followed by an explosive concentric contraction and have been making really good progress.

You know this already, we'll all respond to and like different protocols. The message I like about Jason is there isn't only one thing that's the end all be all for everyone. I would be good with your protocol. Super slow reps make me look really skinny, hurt elbows/shoulders, and I lose strength. I tend to do a controlled slower tempo. Whatever works for the person.
