Not bedroom gymnastics. No sniggering at the back!
I saw a bit in the paper the other day, about a bed that turns into a gym, and here it is. pvt.fit/ This is a kickstarter, so it isn't actually available yet. In attempting to find it, I first found a DIY product homegymbed.com/
I think both are a good idea, if you are short of room, don't have a shed, or if it is too cold to lift outside. The first has a pullup bar, which the second seems to have more exercises. I think a pullup bar could be added easily. It would be an interesting project to do, if you have the time or inclination.

, they definitely look like they can take the bedroom gymnastics. Pretty neat ideas but good luck selling it to the Misses.

That's pretty cool !... Personally my "bedroom gym" consists of one of my ebay bargain Bullworker X5's and a Steelbow 28 propped in the corner nearest the bed. I also keep a heavy tension power twister leaning in the same corner, along with a very nicely made Korean adjustable hand gripper on the night stand. Over on the main dresser I keep a 5 pound and 8 pound pair of Indian clubs, with a few lighter pairs of clubs tucked away in a piece of furniture near the closet. I have some really nice 'minimalist' workouts in my early morning coffee 'quiet time'

I know a guy that used to live in Portland who used his fitness equipment as conversation pieces. I’m sure if he would have moved them into the bedroom, he would’ve been synonymous with Hugh Hefner

LOVE my 2 ebay bargain purchased X5's, they're the all around best version of the Bullworker I've ever tried

The idea of a bed/gym is brilliant. Wake up in the morning and without even getting outa bed, rack the overhead bar down and fasten for a few semi-pullups, the Hook attachments firmly in place at each end of the bar, for "morning stretches".
At the foot of the bed another bar to be strained against for "bed-lifts", then the overhead bar unracked for some free-weight "bed-presses". The bullworker under the pillow whipped out for a round of "iso-mattress tension" exercises and to top it all off, roll over on your front and knock off 30 "Duvet Dive-bombers".
A worthwhile overall blanket workout without getting up at all. Then the icing on the sheet, you can flop back down to sleep again. What more could a bloke want ?

There was an old book on the Sandow site titled Exercising in Bed written by a gentleman named Sanford Benett. It was fairly long (about 295 pages) and detailed many isometric, self resisted, stretching, and dumbbell exercises all done in the prone position in bed. He also showed exercises with a bar mounted to the wall or headboard, a stretching board (long narrow piece of wood) and a lifting board (flat piece of wood with a handle on the end of a cable or chain. The book took itself fairly serious and is at least an entertaining read if you can still find it for free.

Don't forget the weighted blanket. These folks have a whole series of exercise videos for them.

There are some exercises I do in bed because it's easy on my knees or more comfortable support for the exercise and I don't need to set up a pad.
