Legend has it that creatine-laced farts are powerful and stellar. Bruce give us an executive briefing. Well, the Creatine has now had time to digest and to make itself heard. OH, SWEET MYSTERY OF LIFE, AT LAST i'VE FOUND YOU!

Bruce, I read you shouldn't mix with citrus drinks, best is prune juice or grape. I use just water. Thanks for the tip, Henry. Creatine mixed with prune juice. This should take me to new and unexplored heights.

Henry........
ok. So I got your recommended PVL Creatine. I see that it's made in Canada. No bias there, is there?
Anyway, this should be obvious, but I'll ask anyway. The largest recommended dosage is 5 grams. The scoop that comes with it says 5.o cc. A search shows that 1 cc = 1 gram. Therefor, one full scoop should be the proper dosage, right? I just want to be sure. Like my mother always used to say, "The only dumb question is that asked by a dumb person."
If the dosages written in the directions are in grams, I wonder why they would have cc on the scoop. Must be a Canadian thing.

..... WHERE'S THE FREAKING BUZZ??!! I've taken creatine (Creapure brand, Alzchem AG, Germany) and never noticed a "buzz". Don't worry about it. I quit using it due to scary stuff I read about kidney damage, but I've since read that it's not a certified problem. I'd still try to add some margin of safety by drinking plenty of water if I was using it.

Thank you Henry. So, one scoop is the norm. That makes this stuff a great value. At one scoop a day, one bottle will last a looooong time. I actually went out yesterday (wearing my knew shoes) and picked up some prune juice. Avoid coffee? My veins run coffee.

I did a search for beetroot supplements - expensive! I then did a search for beetroot recipes. There are quite a few of them. I'm going to try one.

Is it just me or is creatine also an appetite suppressor?

I sometimes buy beetroot, scrub it, cut it up, nuke it in my microwave, and put it into my VitaMix as part of my smoothie, along with my other things. Yum!

I took it in the '90's. It made me my muscles look puffy, I believe it makes your cells retain water, causing them to "bloat". If you stop taking it, the effect quickly dissipates. Just my experience.

Just my experience. Really? That doesn't sound very desirable. Well, I've got it now, so I'll just see what happens. I'm not doing the saturation period, just taking 5 mm a day after a workout. There's something about "saturating" myself that just doesn't appeal to me. Well, that's relative. If you stop eating, you'll quickly dissipate, as well.
