I always strive for perfect form; no momentum and not incorporating extra movements. I see loads of people doing a little knee bend when doing curls (to gain momentum) or leaning back, pushing the hips forward. To me this in an indication that the weight is too heavy. As to posture - well 25 years of ballet classes has given me great posture.
