When were you there? I was just in the area (again) -- didn't go into Gold's this trip -- a couple of weeks ago which was when we saw the air show down at Huntington Beach. First time I was in the area was 1982...also went over to Studio City and trained at Vince's Gym that time. 1983 just Gold's. Paid Mike Mentzer for a few workouts.
For those who remember Vince, his gym is long gone...when we we heading from LA via Laurel Canyon to the mountains E/NE of Pasadena for some hiking, turned down Ventura Blvd in Studio City and it looked like, from Google Map app, that his facility is long gone and its a parking lot.
And for movie aficionados, there's a HUGE cemetery nearby where a number of stars from 40s, 50s, 60s, etc., are buried.
