Why beat around the bush? Here's my recipe for a delicious, nutritious, nasty-additives free homemade protein drink. I just blended an egg in a glass of milk, sweetened it with raw, unfiltered honey, and flavored it with Saigon Cinnamon. Delicious! The only thing lacking is the brandy. My health drink, which tastes dreadful is: Raw kale Raw spinach Mixed nuts Cod liver oil Chilli Garlic Ginger I make enough for 3 days and refrigerate it. Abysmally awful though it is, it has lowered my blood pressure significantly, and my energy levels have shot up.

Some years back there was a serious yolk scare. Yes, they do contain cholesterol. But then it was discovered that the yolks and the whites work together to assimilate all the minerals and vitamins and protein contained in eggs. It's like Mother Nature knew what she was doing after all. The main purpose of an egg is to produce a chick. That's what Mother Nature was thinking of. Not as a food for humans. That's just a bonus, Bruciepoos m8.

I've made one with just canned tuna and water. It's really tasty if you like soups or canned tuna. I haven't done it for years though. I can't be bothered.

I'm reducing the eggs and sticking with my sardines, mackerel, salmon and cod, thanks www.medicalmedium.com/blog/eggs-eaters-lose-all

The BigBruvOfEnglandUK special protein shake. Actually, there's nothing special about it. It's just what I take to work every day and I always have some in the fridge at home that I'll have at times through the day.
I don't eat any meat either before work or during working hours. It often makes me feel a bit sluggish. My work is very physically active so I find I'm better off with something that digests a lot quicker and then I'll eat a big portion of meat and eggs in the evening.
Anyway, here it is. About 2.75 litres of orange juice. A big dollop of local raw honey off a dessert spoon. Two level dessert spoons of maple syrup. About 40 g of beef collagen powder. (I'm allergic to all dairy and there's no way I'm using some sort of vegetarian substitute) I have also added maybe about 10 g of BCAAs at times but not recently. It didn't seem to make any difference. 1 measuring teaspoon of unrefined salt. Not salt flakes though. 0.25 litres (a mug) of water.
I boil some water and fill a mug about a 1/3 of the way with it. I then add a similar amount of cold water or a touch more. I add the maple syrup and the honey to it and give it a good stir. I sometimes add the collagen powder and the salt to this if I want the collagen to mix quickly. Collagen takes quite a lot of mixing in very cold liquids but if I'm taking this to work the collagen is ok to just throw in as is and by the time I've got to work it has absorbed enough juice to require a quick shake and it done.
It doesn't need honey or maple syrup but I like the taste and the maple syrup is good for certain minerals. I'll usually drink all of this by the end of the day. It's great in hot weather. I'll hardly drink any water and still not feel dehydrated or get muscle cramps. I'll sometimes jazz it up a bit by adding some soda water or a little lemon juice to give it a tang.
Anyway, if you think drinking some sort of protein shake is really going to transform your body, you are going to be disappointed. They are just convenient liquid meals. Nothing else, m8s.

Well I’m going to assume the risk and continue eating my eggs. Yep, I didn't stop eating them altogether, just not going to sit down to any 4 to 5 egg omelets / scrambled like I have in the past...

For us older turds, I can’t imagine the need for a protein shake. I want my scarce calories to come from food needing to be chewed.

The hell with protein shakes, the intellectual elite state that people need to make BUGS, including maggots and worms, a staple of people’s diets. Plenty of protein there, right? Please note that: It seems that it would be appropriate to classify a lot of college professors as maggots, inedible of course. Please note that: It's already being used in the pet foods industry. One of my other hobbies is fish and aquatic plant keeping, and my fish go crazy for this stuff...
