I could do this or maybe ProBoards would allow for another subsection for the discussion of history
It seems between Bruce, Mikey and perhaps some others, there are a lot of people who can share some great information on books, film, etc., regarding history and such? Also trips -- like Bruce's recent journey to Niagra or Cape Cod, or mine to the Hudson River Valley area. I'm sure we've got pictures to share that would be cool...various areas around the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, etc.?

I don't know, Tex. I've seen some forums that have so many sub-forums you'd get lost. And then a lot of things that would be of interest to a lot of people simply don't get read. I think I'd prefer keeping this forum simple with everything up front here where it can be easily found by everyone who logs on. Everyone here is free to post a topic on any subject they desire. A post on an historical subject, or any subject, will start life right up top and will be kept alive by those who it interests.
This is primarily a fitness forum and the greater number of posts will be fitness related, but I have no problem with other topics getting squeezed in. Also, threads often take on a life of their own and can drift from one topic to another, as in the case of the Miss Me thread. Keeps things interesting.

And, besides, we won't have to deal with the Forum Nazi chastising us for posting in the wrong forum.
Or, should I say, keeping us safe.

On the other hand, I can't remember how many valid fitness threads got off onto the subject of whiffet's sex life. Maybe that's the one sub-forum that ought to be created.
Actually, the one sub-forum we do have is Members Workout Logs, which, as far as I'm concerned, makes sense to have.

Folks, I've got to be rigorously honest with myself about the direction this topic eventually went. The mention of Whiffet's imaginary sex life does not set well with me. It has been a wake-up call helping me see the fuzzy and sometimes difficult to see "line in the cyberspace sand" of where I want to spend my internet time.
The beauty of the internet and the freedom of speech we all enjoy makes many expressions possible such as this one. I have been a recipient many times over of this personal expression liberty. And what I'm sharing now is just another example of this free expression liberty with no effort on my part to to condemn the expressions you choose to make.
Thank you for your cyberspace friendship and the many barrels of laughs we have all had. It's time for me to spend time elsewhere.
Have a great day.

Hey Bruce, How about seeing if you can talk Henry into being a behind-the-curtain admin so you can tap into his knowledge of CSS.

Hey Bruce, How about seeing if you can talk Henry into being a behind-the-curtain admin so you can tap into his knowledge of CSS. What a great idea! But, why behind the curtain? Why not right out up front for the world to know? And then I can ask him to set things up so that links are automatically underlined. I see where he had said how to do it in the Underline your Links thread, but I haven't gotten around to asking him where the hell that stuff is found. BTW, Henry was the first person I met on the Internet, way back in 2002. So, Henry, will you be my huckleberry?
