I once attended a Caliber Press Street survival seminar for law enforcement officers. One of the presentations was about this incident with Patera: ringthedamnbell.wordpress.com/2019/11/20/jailbreak-ken-patera-returns-to-the-wwf/#more-34269I remember the instructor telling us that the "rock" described in the above article was actually a landscaping boulder that was in front of a closed Shoney's restaurant. The presentation was to teach officers that if their observations indicated that if they did not have the physical strength to take a subject into custody or if they believed intermediate weapons would not work that is was appropriate to escalate to deadly force to take control even if the subject (s) were unarmed. Patera and Saito badly injured the male and female officers that initially located them at the motel.

I heard in more than several stories the boulder was 33 lbs which was hurled from more than a few feet away and went through the window which means a big and strong person must have thrown it, probably not some recently fired kid that worked at McDonalds. In other videos he laughs at how he and Saito "stacked them up like firewood" referring to the fight with officers. He did what he did and when officers went to the hotel to arrest him there was a bad fight and he deserved to do time, which he did, end of story IMO.
Patera's older brother Jack played pro football for various teams and then was in coaching positions for various teams and knew a lot about guys who were big and strong.
Ken was a big boned guy whose weight topped out around 322 when Olympic lifting. You can see his wrist in the video being thick.
I do think roids can kill though because as tissue building drugs, as Peary Rader called them, they can make cancerous tissues grow as well.

Mr Patera is probably not taking roids anymore (maybe TRT ) but nice to see he still has the rage.
Magnus still laughing about the hair. I never knew Arnold was a ginger

So, Arnold believes in freedom of speech, but not in freedom of movement, not in freedom of choice, not in freedom of body autonomy ...... ....... pretty much, he wants no freedom for you, EXCEPT that you're free to complain about being oppressed by criminals.

Not even that, but complain about the fabricated-via-media enemy of the moment. Flavour of the minute, warm up and into the playing field you go!

Steroids cause organ growth just like growth hormone does but on a slower scale. Remember Dallas McCarver? Anyone?

Those old interviews with him were great. He was drunk but he made some good points. I don't think Patera did any peds after some point in his life including TRT. He had genetics than non of us do. Even without the drugs he took, I would put money that non that have ever typed a sentence in this forum could match his clean and jerk or most any lift Patera ever did.
Ken was well over 300 when he Oly lifted. There was a photo of him in Milo magazine/joural when he was wrestling under Verne Gange. He was 237 and ripped to shit.
Patera owned a gym in the twin cities that my friend lifted at. I though oh, how cool. Friend says, not really. Ken brings his dog in, the dog takes a shit on the floor and then hours later it gets cleaned up.
