From PastorGBC (he has nice build) It had me rolling.
Ah, the Bullworker. I remember my dad bought me one for Christmas when I was about 17 years old. I thought I had died and went to heaven.
It is mostly hype; you certainly cannot get an Olympian body in 20 minutes a a day, three times a week. And certainly if you are involved in weight training, it is useless.
However, isometric exercise does have its benefits. It will increase your strength, but you quickly reach a peak and eternal plateau.
I do remember that there is one exercise that was supposed to work your triceps that caused a terrible pain in my brachs.
One funny story: when I was in the Navy, we were playing basketball and this rather rotund chief decided to join us. He was not very good, and he was sporting a less than flattering tight tee-shirt that said "Bullworker Training". After a few games, and the chief really dragging, a buddy of mine walks up to him and says "Hey chief, the Bullworker people just called. They said they will give you a $100 to take that shirt off."

Funny story, but he clearly has zero clue what he's talking about when it comes to the Bullworker and Isometrics...

Yeah I would agree with Magnus. Plus saying 20 minutes won't get You an Olympian body is being stuck in there is "only one way to do something mode". You don't have to train hours to get results no matter what style of training You do. I've done plenty of isometrics to know You can get results. I never gained size but I did see a difference.

The guys on bodybuilding.com are the most closed minded and dogmatic people you will ever meet. If you train with any modality besides weights and a power rack they will say you are wasting your time. I only go there when a subject I am looking into has a link there. They hate Soloflex, Bowflex, Total Gym etc. And if want to get a lot of flak say that you want to tone and not get huge muscles. Their heads will explode. That is why over all the years I only post here with the intelligent and open minded.

I was only going to post the Bullworker quote in isolation but I was scared Bruv would censure me for incomplete or inadequate reference-ology citations

I got dizzy reading that, . Being that a lot of people don't do any exercise at all, I'm happy for the person no matter what kind of exercise they do. Those kind of guys will always be closed minded and dogmatic people. Getting results doesn't always have to mean getting bigger all the time. We all know You're not going to get bigger for infinity. I can do one of their programs and probably never gain a lick of size. Some people like me just don't gain size no matter what. If the exercise feels good, You're not bored out of Your mind, it doesn't injury You, and You get the results You want, who cares what someone else thinks. Most programs/routines can be hype without the effort. If You do isometrics You have to put some effort into them to get an honest opinion. Any one that has done Isometrics knows if You put effort into them You will feel like You did something in a short period of time.

I read all the posts on that thread and understand where those guys are coming from. The guy that talks about what he describes as the "eternal plateau" to me means the point where you are hitting say 160 on the power meter and the effort to get it to 165 is sooo much more than going from 70 to 75 because the spring is at near max resistance, unlike weights where you can always add small incremental weight gradually. Also, the limited range of motion as mentioned.
Weights (IMO), combined with proper diet and cardio, are the best way to cosmetically alter your body. Bands, chest expanders, bullworker, etc. are devices that offer resistance to do exercises for certain body parts and provide convenience for saving space and traveling.
The Bullworker (IMO) can do great things, but the advertised 7 exercises for 7 seconds won't do much in the long run, but it is better than nothing. Used isometrically AND isotonically and for several sets while incorporating rest days in between, change diet, and add some freehand exercises thrown in such as squats, pushups/dips, 1 legged calf raises and you have a pretty good routine for a 20 min. window a few times a week.
Also, there never was anyone on an Olympia stage who ever worked out for 20 min., 3 days a week (not even Viator at that time in the 80's).

Got my best results ever combining iso's with dynamic exercise. Specifically, calisthenics & then polishing off with a bit of flexing. And why not? It's been done for millennia by chinese & indian martial arts with great success.
