I carry a 600ml PET water bottle everywhere I go. Since it's hot in Egypt, it's innocuous to brandish. It makes a great cosh & bust up elbows, wrists or collarbones. I was amazed how I could dislocate a collarbone with ease. Breaking is not much harder. Not trying to be a smart aleck. Did You have this with You for that WWE match? If so why did You not use it for that animal?

I was conducting my usual business in the custom manner with a paid up tenant who ostensibly was ready to check out of the premises(I was there to do an inspection for the security deposit). Kicking him in the nutz probably wasn't such a hot idea anyways? It's not failsafe. All I did was escalate the situation by pissing him off.

I guess I coulda thwak'd him with my fanny pack, spit a Mentos in his face or taken my wife's mini-purse & hit him with it I suppose?

If ur a Hells Angel, sure! If u stab anyone for any reason that's deadly force & is only justified when ur life is under threat & u fear for ur life. Anything less than that standard makes u an utter jerk & pariah in polite society. I've had occasion to actually whack someone with my water bottle but never in a lethal manner that would cause the risk of death or serious injury. Even if I can justify my actions because of the perceived threat that the perp' displayed an aggressive or irrational state of mind. It's too easy to cross the line then & the next time. There's fighting & then there's combat. I know the difference. I thought you said you were a former WWE guy? If you got into a fight your skills and past would be considered a lethal weapons if you inadvertently hurt someone. The law, both criminal and civil (at least here in the USA) does not differentiate between fighting and combat. Only justified or unjustified. Whack somebody with a water bottle and make them fall and hit their head and see if you don't get charged with voluntary manslaughter. That is unless you could show your water bottle non-lethal impact weapon certificate from an accredited training institution.

Or routine is what people do that aren't old, retired, and have to work.

This reminds me of what my dad always taught me, "Always carry a metal sturdy pen" it's really effective at puncturing people and the police will never question why you were carrying a pen. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it here before. I didn't witness this but when I was a teenager a guy died in the high street after being stabbed in the neck by somebody using a pen. As I recall he had made it 50-100 metres from the spot where he had been stabbed before collapsing and dying.
