I also eat a 1:1:1 mix of moringa, chlorella and spirulina powders which are all high in calcium.

For some reason protein content of packaged food products is listed minus the amino acids composition. Perhaps the message is just say NO to such products .

Everyone is unique, and so are diet needs. This is just my opinion which some won't agree. Many people are fanatical in asserting that their approach to food is the only way. I personally don't believe whole cateries/macros of foods should be taken out of our diets. You should somewhat enjoy the food You eat, You're not going to live forever. If I had to eat seaweed(vomit) to live to be 100, let me die. What's that saying," One man's meat is another man's poison". Just like with exercise, Learn to listen to Your body, not someone else's dogma.

.......... Just like with exercise, Learn to listen to Your body, not someone else's dogma. Exactly. lardy: Are you sure it was spirulina? I can understand that if applied to chlorella or moringa. Spirulina has a sweet taste. Chlorella has a sort of cheesy flavor, but moringa is somewhat bitter and needs some disguising. When I eat them, it's not because they taste great, it's because of the nutritional density which is much more than just calcium, so I eat them first and then enjoy the rest of the meal - it's like hitting myself in the head with a hammer ..... it feels good when I stop. If I was going to eat for pleasure and entertainment, like most of the hedonistic population (especially in the US), I would eat nothing but toasted bagels with cheese or sweet toppings, with full fat milk. That's part of what was killing me and I prefer the pain of an undesirable taste over an excruciating painful death by "food". It's a taste that takes some time to acquire (like some essential oils, nori or wakame), but I actually like it now.

Oh, and for the 1:1:1 mix, I only use about 10cc in a meal, usually once a day. This keeps the flavor of the chlorella and moringa minimal.

(public service announcement) Guys, please keep your replies coming. I'm so grateful I found this forum – there's so much quality information here, AND people who I think are able to laugh about themselves every now and then. This is rare. And that's why I'd like to
THANK Y'ALL.

My cardiologist said to eat a balanced (each meal) diet and do cardio work to get the heart thumping hard every day. Only take selenium as a supplement and take a low dose aspirin daily.
I do things a little differently.

I do things a little differently. Understandably... aspirin is associated with the risk of gastrointernal bleeding after all. It depends on the dose, but what a low-risk dose is exactly, has not yet been established, as far as I know.

I've tried nearly all the diets over the past 16 years and a keto / paleo diet is 100% the best diet for ME !

I do things a little differently. Sometimes simple is just what people need, I've been thinking about aspirin use for myself due to a history of heart disease in my family but I can't help feeling there could be some long term damage from daily aspirin.

When I do take it, I do so on a full stomach and never if I had citrus fruit or vitamin C supplement within 6 hours and always as Dr. Michael Roizen recommends - with a half a glass of warm water before and after.

I worry about that too. Kind of funny (IMO) but I know people (several who, not overweight or unhealthy to begin with, began it in their mid 20's in the mid 1990's) who have been on statin meds for decades now and they make zero effort to change diet and lifestyle, just have a Lobster and dunk each forkful in butter or a steak dinner and pop a Lipitor !

Statin meds for decades? Are they rather befuddled by very little challenge now, m8? Statin drugs dry up myelin which is mostly cholesterol that the brain floats in.
