Made this with some scrap wood and 2 olympic dumbbell handles. May be an easy cheap option for those with a home gym.

Looks good! Quite the home gym set up. Do you remember in the old (Rader) version of Iron Man when one of the non-Weider stars advertised a squat belt with chains that you could loop through Olympic plates or around DBs? Always wanted to try that as the price and the fact you're not loading your back made a lot of sense.

Very nice, mr jam-meatplug. Looks a litte precarious to me but the cat sure didn't seem to be worried, so what the frig do I know? Perchance mr texanragtime himself could use some of his doug brignolte - like moment arm mastery and tell us how much equivalent weight you were lifting there.

I do squat by putting the weight on my dip belt. I am limited to 50 kilos though.

The gym that I use has one of these already. I've never seen anybody use it, but somebody must as the plates on it change.

I thought my squats were getting deeper year after year but turns out my nuts just sag lower.

Here is some footage from the other night. This is my daughter who is coming back from ACL/Meniscus reconstruction back in June. We are using a slant board here to build more strength and mass around the knee joint.
