Welcome back to 2009, but is there really anything new under the Sun? Did this yesterday, without the face cards so it’s nothing impressive but this could easily be a “forever workout” for simple fitness. Obviously you can mix up what you choose, but I did Hearts = Squats Diamonds = hanging knee ups Clubs = Body Rows Spades = Dips Took just 20 minutes without face cards I know this is child’s play to most of you guys, it was kind of fun though the turning over of the next card had just enough randomness to make it so

I like low tech approaches to things. A deck of cards works as well to any electronic random number generator program out there.

I've done these kind of sessions before in the past with bodyweight. They are fun and You get a cardio benefit from them. Another thing I use to like to do is pick two exercises like pushups and squats. Start with 24 reps with one and 1 rep with the other and superset them non stop. Example pushups 24,23,22,21, etc... then squats 1,2,3,4, etc...
I sometimes now do similar sessions with the cards and the countdown stuff with KBs.

Thanks for resurrecting this training trick El Capitan. I've never done the deck of cards workout thing but it aligns with how I train. Maybe I'm going to go to the Dollar Store and buy me a deck of cards, thanks.

That's exactly where I bought a deck, but thanks to Slow Joe they've raised the price to $1.25
