I don't care about the 'Left; or 'Right' labels it's just that my personal beliefs get labeled as such and I stay with those to help people understand where I stand. Labels such as "left or "right" are useful when definitions of political processes are needed for clarity. Nothing wrong with that. Your own personal beliefs can be explained in a way that can be understood. I'm a Centrist, if I was to define mine. I like some socialism, and I certainly like some capitalist/right wing processes. The problem starts when such definitions become over-riding descriptions of sections of society or govt, as some kind of negative connotation. A blanket "description" of all sorts of behaviour that may in fact not have anything to do with (say) socialism, or "far right" etc. Once that happens, it gains authority where there was none, and can be used as a blanket dismissal of someone's utterances, or behaviour. An example may be of the endorsement of those that believe they are "special" because they are drawn to same-sex relationships, as "more leftist/liberal govt promoting them" or something of that nature. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see any connection between socialism/Left) politics and those "tranny's" and their ilk. But "Leftist" and "liberals" I note are used freely on this forum, and serve to cement polarization rather than present useful definitions and solutions to problems that may have in essence nothing to do with Left or Right-wing politics in its definitive forms.

Right on! The PTB via MSM are forcing people into polarization with 'charged' issues leading to the divisiveness of the country. When ones beliefs, not actions, are held against them - then there are really big problems. First, they pushed acceptance of LGBTQ which most (including me) were on board with. They are people and let them live as they want, ok with me. Then it gets pushed into where they can go to the bathroom. Guys dressed as girls calling themselves tranny's going to the ladies room because they wear makeup and dresses rape women in the stalls. Then, people like me who accepted the right to be that type of person know objects feeling it went too far when it comes to bathrooming and my objection puts me into the right wing/conservative side - which I am ok with. The world can label me what they want as I've done nothing wrong.
