I found a 1.5 m lifting sling outside one of the sites we worked on. It's a little long but if the two ends are tied in two half hitch knots that helps to shorten it. You wouldn't want to put loads of weight on it as it could tighten the knots too much and you could get stuck in it though. www.boatsafe.com/half-hitch-knot/ The strap you linked to looks like it would be more comfortable as it's wider and at that price it's almost free. Have you tried it out?

the one ive got is a bit wider than the one in the picture – but works perfect as a dip belt

I bought a 2" x 6' lifting strap, rated at 6,400#. It was the shortest one they had, but for $10 I had to try it.
