I'll tell you one thing, Mox m8. I got batted around the ring for six months, sometimes having nine rounds a night with three different opponents. We always went full out, unless it was a guy's first time in the ring. I was mainly boxing gym rats who had all their fights in the gym, and Golden Gloves contenders on their way to a match etc. Or even a town hall bout. There are many rounds I cannot remember. But I was never knocked off my feet in all that time. Which was probably why they preferred me for their punch bag, I suppose. Now I'll let you into a bit of info, m8. 70-ish or not, I would NOT get into the ring with Matey, under any circumstances unless he's got his hands tied behind his back. Any demonstrator who thought he might like to get a few wallops in to an irate Billfish is going to have all sorts of hurt imposed on him. I would say within three seconds. Got it ? Just a gentle warning  |

Horse-drawn milk carts and trams, please. If you don't mind....  No fridges, clothes washing in a coal gas-fired "copper". Hand-rinsed from one tub to another. Coal gas fired calafont for hot water. Valve (tube) radio. Replaced crystal set with head-phones. 1971 US Army FM 21-150 was years later. More modern than in my time in the gym. |

He's an old biker who still runs his own contracting business, and he rode his Harley all the way from New Jersey to Sturgis last year. That said, most people of any age would be on the wrong end of a beating if you pissed him off, and he isn't afraid to fight either, trust me... |
