, I didn't want to watch this video but I watch the full video. Interesting video. I do use a protein powder sometimes. For myself, eating foods high in protein seem to satisfy me more and help me to control my cravings. I believe Mr.P and Yourself talked about this. If I remember right Pierini, You said protein is on average about 14% of Your daily intake on average. My average I would guess is between 25 to 35%. If I don't keep my protein intake higher I tend to over eat or fall off the wagon. There are times I just don't feel like eating meat so a protein powder can come in handy for me.

No more powder for me for decades. Don't think they really did much (bad quality maybe?), although I have taken weight gainer drinks and some powders in that time with decent results.
I supplement with Fairlife drink. 30g protein in a 11.5oz. bottle. 3g of total carb and 190 calories. Hit's the spot for me in a pinch and I notice gives energy.

I have used protein supplements in the distant past but I never saw any appreciable gains from doing so. I once asked a nutritionist about protein supplements and she said she'd rather see people get their protein from the foods they eat. I once read that your body can assimilate only so much protein and the rest is discarded, so people who take hundreds of grams of protein per day are wasting their money. A few years back, I went through my 4 week super duper arm blasting program and added 1 1/8" to my arms, and I did so without protein supplements or changing my diet.

I read years ago that our bodies assimilate different proteins at different rates, so 20g of animal protein would be used at like 90% of it's value, whereas protein from beans or or other plants would convert much inferior at maybe 60-70%. I don't remember the exact numbers, but you definitely get a bigger bang for your buck with animal protein.

Season brand, Skinless & Boneless Sardines in WATER, no salt added, available at WallyWorld for cheap are my favorite. I like them even better than the ones costing much more.

I get these as well. Not just for the protein, but the Omega 3's as well.

“Now to our nuts! Almonds are the most nourishing. Next in order come walnuts, hazel or cob nuts, and Brazil nuts. The proteid value of these three does not differ much. After these come the chestnut and cocoanut, and lastly we have the pine kernel. Speaking very roughly, we may liken walnuts, hazel nuts, and Brazil nuts to beef for flesh and muscle-forming value, while pine kernels correspond more nearly to fish. Almonds are nearly double the value of beef.”—Florence Daniel

I buy organic grass fed ground beef and cut 6 patties per 1# block, put each in a fold-top sandwich baggie and store them in the freezer.

High protein consumption increases cancer risk for middle aged males & higher. Once, ur into ur 70s then high consumption is OK again. "The China Study" is my reference material. Ref: Dr. T. Colin Campbell's recommendations for Dietary Guidelines nutritionstudies.org/2015-dietary-guidelines-commentary/
