No prezzy has ever been without lies, or doing things that others don't like. It's par for the course in political life. Kennedy got taken out for it. Nixon was on his way to jail if he didn't resign. Clinton lied through his teeth.

I'm saying that any one man, including Trump, isn't responsible for the way America is. I've said Trump was the fall guy for the PTB that run the show. He fitted into the role very well. The PTB used him to divide (so they could rule) America and he did a fantastic job, even inciting an insurrection while he was still Prezzy. The PTB couldn't get much better out of him than that. |

Probably in an attempt to undo the damage that the previous administration had done, and restore some normality. You don't think that even with an executive order, the prez doesn't move without support from his crew, do you ? |

Your knowledge is far in excess of mine regarding American political protocol etc. As it should be anyway. But surely you don't think that there wouldn't be some resistance from Biden's own crew if they thought he was acting too much alone, with the consequences of his frantic signing of executive orders ? Especially is like Trump there are questions of his mental equilibrium. I'm not saying he's not making mistakes, but surely his people would be pointing that out in no uncertain terms if they thought he was doing damage in an attempt to undo previous orders of another admin ? We get back to what is really going on in America. We've had someone who took his TV show mantra into his presidency (You're Fired!) with all sorts of competent people either leaving or being sacked because Trumpy always knew best, never mind the science. An autocrat that gathered yes-men like that idiot Atlas around him etc. McConnell always playing the field depending on which way he saw his own advantage re the wind was blowing. Now you've got a prez who I said last year I wasn't confident of either, but who made the one most important statement that I've heard in a long time in America, and that was that he would work as hard for those that didn't vote for him, as those that did. That was a refreshing change from someone who viewed his opponents as "enemies", and spent a lot time making up names for them just like a spoilt teenager. Who whenever the press criticized him, immediately threw his rattle out of his playpen and labelled them "Fake News" and "Enemies of the people" etc finally finishing up with a "Stolen election" mantra that's been taken up as Truth simply by plain repetition despite lawsuits asserting that being thrown out of every Court, including the Supreme Court. And if the election WAS rigged as the Trump-mantra goes, then America is in deep trouble, because democratic protocol has gone, and then the question becomes, once again, who is running America ? One glance at the wealth disparity which has only got worse over the years should give you a clue, shouldn't it, despite your academic study, because studying what should be (admirable no doubt) is not what is actually happening is it, in this case ? If you've got a well-planned but complicated system that should nevertheless work as designed, for govt and prez elections every four years, and half the people are repeating the former president's pre-election nonsense, before, during, and after he's been voted out of office, then confidence in your own democratic process is gone. And if in fact the election was rigged, who orchestrated all that ? The Dumbocrats ? (despite lawsuits thrown out by Republican judges as well ?) That is the state that America is portraying to the rest of the world that America has dominated (and plundered) at least since the second world war. America is losing the world's confidence in its own administration from within, and from without. And neither Trump or Biden can save it. Like I said last year, are those two all that America can front for prez ? |
