Bruce's longer Pressing bands work great for this exercise. I have 6 of them and it felt pretty good.

An adjustable 2"+ webbing loop can also be anchored to perform Sissy Squats and is safer than an anchored resistance band

The unsupported Sissy squat is an exercise that I incorporate into other exercise, like; twisting & tossing a stone from hand to hand in various arcs or holding with both hands and moving it up, down and around when doing stick move like the wonderful kayak paddle, either forward or back, but usually paddling backward because it feels more natural etc. I don't remember and I haven't watched all of the Len Schwartz videos, but I suspect he did some moves, orbits and twists while in a sissy squat position. I would need to watch myself carefully to be sure, but I can't think of any standing exercise that I do with legs straight and knees locked. Most always involves some amount of squat.

Flexible vs. Rigid thing makes sense for safety, Thanks. I can understand that as someone who has had bands snap. But I will say that using 6 of Bruce's longer pressing bands there is not much slack or give. But I do get why and think rigid is better.
