The second was posting that upside down photo of him which is absolutely ridiculous. There was another one of him doing a straight leg stretch touching the floor behind him, a Charles Atlas exercise move I believe. Another photo that's probably earning Pornhub royalties in the gay section with his West Virginia brown eye standing tall and sending an inviting message, "Come on in!" He was as dumb as he looked. The laughs were nonstop ! I miss those days. Especially Andy on Portalguy’s board arguing with anyone and everyone. Park , U Bach, Boss B, and others. The Gourd’s nerve force was off the charts back then 😂

I never understood why he took those kinds of pictures or said some of those things. He never really did anything to me and was actually pretty nice to me. But I do understand why some dislike him. Parker had told me some things that made me understand more. Some of that stuff is pretty funny. Why he said that thing about the elliptical is beyond me.

That's stuff is pretty scary. Never took any exercise that far. But I know I have took some work days pretty far, which is not good. A couple things I do now, especially doing tree work, is drink mineral water and water with electrolytes. When I just drink water all day my hamstrings tend to cramp up. You can make your own electrolyte mix....my wife looked it up on the internet because she gets cramps in her legs sometimes Effects of Beetroot Juice Supplementation on Cardiorespiratory Endurance in Athletes. By the way, to answer Stuke about his methods. There is nothing wrong with calisthenics self-resistance, isometrics, and what he called DVRs, and what Bruce calls KSHD. Whether they are measurable in some people's eyes they are all good ways to train for health, muscle, and strength if applied right for that said person. The number one problem with his methods was ego-driven. No matter what kind of training You do Your body needs recovery. I think he never gave people a clear message on how to put together a routine(I know guys here hate that word) that was reasonable. Another thing is You wonder how much of his methods were his. You know the saying, "What's old is new, What's new is old". , I think that's how that saying goes, maybe my new teacher Bruv will correct it for me. I get sometimes there are cases when an old protocol is brought up years later and seems new. But there is plenty of proof which I've seen for myself. One is Bruce's number and letter thing for his self-resistance exercises which he used in PYTP. In his pushup book he wrote word for word out of one of the chapters in Pavel's "Beyond Building". I'm sure there are plenty more. Michael I agree 100% with what you wrote. The Miracle Seven (this is probably going to have me looking through my copy again) was a good book. It was a rehash of things other people wrote about in the past, but good enough stuff that it was worth maybe expressing in a different style. What did JP in with many intelligent and experienced people were the wild claims, blatant plagiarism, and his zealot inner circle. It turned into a comedy. Wellness involves doing (and eating) just enough. You try not to wear out or rust out. That nails it. Too little = bad Too much = bad.
With too much you might look good though and for some that's the ONLY goal. But big for small, if you are lean, you look good in general. It would be quite informative if the heights and weights of some of people "heroes" from this movie, that movie, fitness industry whatever were readily (and honestly) available or noted on the photos. Many would be shocked to find out that many of them are well under 200lbs or even 170 and not everyone is 6 foot, 250 and ripped. (some after all are 5'10 1/2 and have the build of their Cossack ancestors which I'm told are what the Greek gods tried to emulate).

So I guess Benny was the last one of a long list of specimens... Oh, yes. Mongo. JP put him in the top 3% of athleticism and then Mongo blows it by blogging about ropeless jump roping because he couldn't get the hang of jumping the rope. Truly, only the top 2% of all athletes are able to jump rope.
