You'll have to enlighten us what it's like having at it with an inflatable doll, pierini m8. I've never had the pleasure (if there's any to be had). You can borrow mine, Macky m8. I remember somewhere around 1980 I was sat at a small table in a busy pub and I could feel something by my foot. I looked under the table to see what it was and it was a blow up doll that had been slashed to pieces by some violent sex fiend.

I remember these in the 1960's UK, came also with Terry's steel spring chest expander sets, would be cool to do the Attila workout with 'em.
I had some Sandow spring grip dumbbells. They came in a tin box with an exercise chart and cleaning cloth with a pic of Sandow on it. They were a great conversation piece with the ladeeeeez, m8. Very much like this. brazilianweightlifting.blogspot.com/2013/07/forca-nas-maos.html

I thought for sure there would be a photo of Mag's neighbor's 89 year old Polish grandmother in that link.

More modern era guys like Serge Nubret, Vince Taylor, Thiery Pastel were advocates of using light weights and the minds concentration in the muscles (obviously along with PED's) to gain size. I don't know how Taylor and Thiery trained but I remember Nubret (or somebody posting for him) started a thread on the "Iron Age Forum" (No longer exists). He offered to answer diet and training questions. It was a very long thread. In the UK magazine "Bodybuilding Monthly" back in the 80's (It had a pic of him on the cover but there were two issues that had him on the cover) that had an article about a Nubret seminar. I can't remember exactly what it said he did but I know it was nothing like a 5lb dumbell workout. Anyway, the article below gives an example of some of the kind of thing he was doing. www.bodybuilding.com/fun/weik79.htm

Anyway, the article below gives an example of some of the kind of thing he was doing. www.bodybuilding.com/fun/weik79.htm Nubret trained Theiry to an extent. It was touted as the pumping/muscle spinning (1950's-60's terms) method in previous years by Bob Kennedy. Articles written interviewing them said they 'concentrated' heavily by putting tension into the exercises. Also, the diet was something like 400 and more grams of protein/day, mostly from horsemeat, and water - zero carb. No 5 lbs dumbell's, but low weights compared to their mass. My point was to say how little weight they (Nubret, Pastel, Taylor, Attilla, Sandow, Psndouretc.) used for high reps in training compared to how much they could really lift. People have been over doing it poundage-wise. Results can be gained from lighter work. The movie pumping iron stated Nubret did 20 sets of 20 reps with 185 lbs, even though he allegedly could bench 500 with those huge pec's. Mentzers HEVAY DUTY around 1980 made people believe they needed to lift maximally each and every workout so they could look like Dorian, never mind the amount of roids they took in.

I had a quick look through Attila's workout. From what I saw he made no mention of tensing any muscles. It just seems to be lots of exercises with high reps.

After 40 days I'm quite digging Attila's workout. it's become part of my daily Taijiquan and Yoga. Didn't Attilla and Sandow say a break of 1-2 weeks was needed after the first 30 days daily training? Do you feel 'fresh' enough to keep going?

More modern era guys like Serge Nubret, .... were advocates of using light weights and the minds concentration in the muscles (obviously along with PED's) to gain size. I was a big fan of Serge Nubret's training methods and used them myself from time to time; first learning how Serge trained from reading an old magazine article titled 'Observing Serge Nubret Train' many years ago... From what I read about him and also what I was told later on by people who actually witnessed his training, Serge didn't exactly use "light weights", he mostly used what I would consider as 'moderate' weights and variations of an absolutely brutal training tactic called 'Cumulative Fatigue'. He would also combine supersets of opposing body parts into the mix (Bench Press / Pulldowns), and do lots and lots of sets and reps. One thing is for sure, it works !
