If any of that equipment comes with a bag, I’m sure Andy would buy it.

If any of that equipment comes with a bag, I’m sure Andy would buy it. A trash bag? (I'm kidding) I think all devices are great options. Problem is too many people believe the paid, roided, bodybuilder model in the advert is what they will look like after they buy it....and leave it in the corner of the closet. You have to use these devices to get results and change diet a little and no one is selling canned enthusiam....at least not yet. I bought the hydraulic chest crusher at Christmas and its good for the price of like $26.00, but it only gives positive resistance and because of that you don't get sore - which can be a good thing if you don't like soreness. I like some soreness which shows I worked hard. If you are creative, it can be used for chest, lats, biceps, and delts. The adjustable resistance is a great feature. Only downside is I read a number of folks who had it for a while report the hydraulic oil leaks out and it's junk. I can see that happening if you hit it or drop it. The axe, for the axe murderer in training.

Only downside is I read a number of folks who had it for a while report the hydraulic oil leaks out and it's junk. I can see that happening if you hit it or drop it. I have both the hydraulic and the spring 'chest crusher' of the same design and consider them both very worthwhile, these guys didn't give them a fair shake and then under-rated it. I use the spring design crusher on a regular basis and the hydraulic one is taken out on occasion for a change of pace and to test my strength. The resistance on my hydraulic unit can be dialed up to basically immovable... If these guys had really given this tool some fair use they would have noticed how DIRECTLY it hits the pecs, and how the 'crushing' movement under resistance uses the pectorals in the way that the muscles were mechanically designed to be used. Bottom Line from someone who actually uses the tool:
Rating-5 Stars This 'crushing' movement is superior for pectoral development than many so called 'pushing' types of chest exercises like the bench press.

I notice they didn't review The Hook. Perhaps we should uber-spam them with positive reviews?

I wouldn't bother sending them anything to 'review', all they're doing is basically just giving their opinionated first impressions without actually using the tools for any length of time...

...and btw, just picked up a brand new 8 pound 'Burn Machine' off ebay for $50 plus shipping, and you have my word that these devices absolutely DO WORK, but they do have to be used consistently and with enough intensity. The 8 pounder compliments the 12 pounder very well, and lets me extend sets when I just can't hold up the 12 # any longer.
I could be wrong but I have a feeling that those two clowns would probably just take a fast look at an exercise "gimmick" like the 'Burn Machine', try it for 30 seconds, and then 'rate' it 3 stars because it "looks cool" but otherwise isn't worth your time.
Here's a real equipment review from an actual user...

The barbell version of The Burn Machine looks interesting also. Now I'm going to have to get two new things.

Looks like the same muscles can be worked ..... except I haven't tried battle ropes while doing sit-ups or lying down on my back.

I was thinking this too, obviously a lot more compact (and cheaper) than the ropes. I know part of the rope thing is you can see from them that your motion is continuous but this might still work well.

The barbell version of The Burn Machine looks interesting also. Now I'm going to have to get two new things. Funny you should mention that, I thought the same thing and when I spotted it brand new on ebay I went ahead with the purchase ! *same good seller as the 8 # Burn Machine, this is 'N.O.S' (new old stock) that he must have bought out in a large quantity. He isn't being greedy with the pricing either, so anyone on the fence needs to make their move because you won't find a better deal. As far as the 'Universal Barbell' it's made very well and most certainly worth the price. The handles are spaced in the perfect positions and I find it very comfortable for curls, presses, and tricep presses. The sliding 4 pound weight in the middle adds to the fun, and I highly recommend it ! Here's a link to the ebay 'Burn Machine' vendor that I purchased from... www.ebay.com/sch/dwie1550/m.html?item=164720641582&hash=item265a1d862e%3Ag%3AJ70AAOSwVD9gNZ%7ER&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
